Advantages: cools you down when you're hot, lovely pepperminty smell, acts as an air freshener afterwards
Disadvantages: too cold to use in winter
Since I have become addicted to the original source range, I decided to try a different product of theirs ? Tea Tree and Mint Shower Gel. I brought this from Tesco in a 250ml size. It cost me £2.49. You can buy this size from any large supermarkets distributed around the UK. You can also buy this in size 500ml which is a pump pack, which is only sold in Sainsburys for £3.99, or you can buy yourself a 25ml sachet on the Original Source website for 49p. Or you can always go along to the website and order yourself 8 free samples, if you haven?t done so already!!! I bought this along with lots of other Original Source products to take on holiday with me, so I guess you could call me an Original Source package gal or something hehe! It?s not hard to miss on the shelf, as it seems to stand out against all the other brands. It has a black hook on the top for hooking it up to a stand in your bathroom and the bottle is clear so you can see how much dark green shower gel is inside. It has the words ?Original Mint Source Shower? in black bold letters and ?Tea Tree & Mint? in a red box on the front. Considering the price for the 250ml one, which I bought, it is very reasonable because you only need a bit at a time and there are loads in there. ?For the most motivating and reviving shower experience you?ve ever had? is proudly proclaimed on the front for the world to see. And when you have read my opinion (if you do not retire from boredom) further on, you will see that it stays true to it?s word, just like the other Original Source products I have tried (If you have read my other opinions that is) it also states ?To naturally cleanse hair and body?. I went on holiday earlier this year and one day whilst out sunbathing for 6 or so hours I got extremely burnt all over and was in so much pain. So I desperately needed cooling down. If you have read my sunburn opinion about the shampoo then you will know that that cur
ed my burning headache. But this shower gel cured my sunburn (well not actually cured it, but cured the burning sensation). Looking like a cooked lobster and feeling like one too, on that day of my holiday, I relaxed in a nice cool bath and massaged the shower gel into my body. The tingliness and refreshness of the essential oils calmed and cooled my sunburn to an extent never thought possible. It worked better than Aloe Vera or an after sun lotion. As you can imagine (after using so much) I came out feeling like I had just been to the North Pole (naked I might add, as it sure felt that way to me) and stayed like that for well over an hour. I also smelt strongly of peppermint throughout the entire night. When this shower gel is used, only a little is needed at a time, as when it is massaged over your body, you end up in endless peppermint lather. It feels lovely and works a treat resulting in a soft and clean body. You can also use this on your hair though I haven?t tried it yet. As with the shampoo, this product uses natural oils not synthetic fragrances and is not tested on animals. It contains Tea Tree Oil, which is a natural antiseptic, and Peppermint Oil, which is stimulating, cooling and reviving. This shower gel is so refreshing that it makes your senses come alive. This shower gel is specially formulated to soothe and nourish all skin types and that includes sensitive skin. It certainly worked a treat for me so it can for you. If you like a peppermint aroma and a tingly, refreshing sensation then this is for you. Or even if you happen to get sunburn like me, this works wonders!!!
