Advantages: foams nicely, clears pores, does not dry out skin
Disadvantages: a wee bit expensive
As some of you may already have read, my skin and I are often at war with each other. In my battle for clear happy skin (for God's sake I'm 25!! I don't deserve spots anymore!!) I have recently been adding the Origins range to my artillery. After being happy with the Have a Nice Day Face Cream I thought what the heck, perhaps they have a nice cleanser to go with. And lo! The Liquid Clay cleanser promises to go deep down and remove all the goo that lives in your pores once and for all with eucalyptus oil (also found in Eve Lom face cleanser) and a variety of other ingredients. It is basically a sort of grey green jelly that has the look and consistency of clay (which considering the name, is not much of a surprise really). It foams quite nicely and you massage it over your face quite happily. I find that a small amount is really all that's needed. Then behold!! the blackheads have vanished! They actually did. Of course they did come back later on in the evening... but that's life really. I would say though that this product has not left my skin feeling dry and parched and it has done an excellent job in clearing my pores, leaving them happy and content. I'm still searching for something that will cause the pores the shrink away to nothing, but until then, if anyone peers into them at least they won't see a blackhead smiling back at them. They also do a clay cleanser in a bar. A very good product even considering the price! Origins products by the way can be found at some branches of Debenhams (Belfast Castle court Branch for those in Northern Ireland) and I believe House of Fraser.
