Advantages: much sought after, so amaze them in the club loos, cute packaging, tingling effect is lovely

Disadvantages: pricey?, V hard to find - sells out fast, easy to lose, people will try to borrow it a lot!

WHAT THEY SAY:
"..a spicy, tingly gloss that enhances your lips' natural color by increasing circulation to the area, creating a bee-stung effect" Certain Hollywood stars are said to be thrilled by this new product, invented by two Italian makeup artists who call their company 'Du Wop' My lips are a good feature and I am always on the look out for new products to enhance them. Some of you may have chanced upon my op. on Benefit Lip Plump. (Look out soon for a review of Gale Hayman's Lip Lift too). My Lip Venom came today and I have been testing it for you especially.

PACKAGING/APPEARANCE:
There is a tiny vial of product (3ml to be precise), inside a much larger pink tubey sort of container. 'Lip Venom' is emblazoned in black several times on the container. There is a leaflet inside giving brief details on how to use it, aswell as a teeny little lipbrush. The gloss (for that is what it is in essence) is inside what looks like one of those little perfume sample bottles and is a peachy tinted shade. Upon taking off the little silver lid of the vial, I thought there may be a little applicator attached but no luck.

APPLICATION/EFFECT:
The Lip Venom is applied with either the brush - the one supplied is tiny so don't lose it! - or a fingertip. I found the fingertip method a little wasteful, so used the aforementioned lipbrush. At first it goes on exactly like a fairly runny lipgloss, and smells lovely and spicy.....then the fun begins! It tingled, it heated up, and it felt like I'd been kissing my husband all night (oh those first months of passion - sigh), y'know, when your lips sort of feel sore in a sexy way. The colour of them deepened to the sort of shade you get with a lipstain like Benetint or Origins Bite Your Lips.
The effect lasted for about an hour and a half - not long is it? But nice I suppose for making a good impression on a first date or special occasion. As f
or a plumping effect, to be honest they did look more juicy, and the colour was so nice and pretty, yet striking. You can be sure that the colour will be exactly right for your skin tone too, as it's just an exaggeration of your natural pigment.

TIPS:

It's NOT tested on animals - on tube it says this, but does say it's tested on actors! Big plus point for me - and you, I hope.

There is only one place you can get this online in the UK, HQhair.com, and on comparison searches for costs in the USA, their price is pretty good. They also sell the addictive Carmex Lip Salve for £2.05 (Boots £2.25) and a host of other hard-to-finds.

Can be used with Lipstsick on top, but personally, the deepening effect on your own lips is so pretty it's a shame to cover it.

Team with some other lip-enhancing tricks like a 'v' of highlighter around your cupid's bow, and a dab of highlighter on bottom lip (try Glitz and Glam Eye Brightner in Wake Up Call FANTASTIC!) and you will feel like your lips are sooo sexy

MEN - do not despair. In these days of male grooming , I read several reviews mentioning men using this to enhance their lips. I don't want you to feel left out if you're reading this do I!

FINAL THOUGHT:
This is not an everyday product unless you are loaded. At £12.95 for 3ml it's quite a lot, but you will notice a difference, and you get what you pay for as they say.
