Advantages: Smells rich and nutty, moisturises really well

Disadvantages: Smell can be a bit overpowering

Having reviewed my recent purchase of the new Olive Oil Formula, I thought I would give my opinion on the classic Cocoa Butter formula which I have used for a while now.

The body moisturiser contains cocoa extract and coconut oil which combined in this moisturiser makes for a wonderfully rich indulgent scent. It comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip top lid and is quite basic in packaging terms.

It promises to relieve dry skin as well as smooth out marks and uneven tones in the skin, I guess this is mainly with regular and long term use. It is also good for using as an aftersun lotion as it is an advanced moisturiser when helps replenish lost vitamins and moisture in the skin.

It normally costs around £2.70 for a 250ml bottle which isn't too pricey and should last a decent amount of time, I also like the fact that it isn't tested on animals.

The moisturiser is a very pale creamy yellow colour and is actually quite thin in consistency. The scent is very nutty and rich, creamy and with a slight hint of aftersun lotion this always reminds me of the summer. The moisturiser takes no effort at all to work into the skin and is absorbs really quickly.

At first you think that because it is a liquid rather than a cream that It won't have the same moisturising properties but I am always surprised at how much smoother and softer my skin feels after using this and a little really does go a long way.

I use this mainly in the summer as an aftersun and occasionally after showering to help replenish lost moisture and it always does a great job. It soaks in straight away and doesn't leave any tackiness behind on my skin but I think that's because I do have a tendency to have slightly dry skin anyway.

The only down point for me is that because the scent is so rich, you can get sick of it quite quickly so for me this isn't a daily option but nice as an occasional treat.

Summary: Buttery goodness

They did produce an unscented version of this, but I don't know if it is still available.
