Advantages: Moisturises well
Disadvantages: Clogs pore and causes spots, expensive
I used to buy this all the time, until I started to realise that cheaper products can work just as well! This one costs £3.50 in boots for a 250ml bottle.
It comes in a plastic bottle which has a flip up lid on top. The plastic of the bottle is opaque so you can't see how much you have left, and the flip up top is a really rubbish idea for this particular product as while it is easy to use, the product is so thick that the hole just gets clogged up and then you can't use it!
The lotion is a very thick creamy, buttery texture which is very much like slapping butter on your body, only with a much nice smell! The smell is very strong, but it's gorgeous, a lovely cocoa scent which makes me want to eat it. downside being that it makes me crave chocolate.
It feels quite nice to use, and it does spread well despite how think it is, but it does feel very heavy on the skin and takes ages to sink in properly. I can't apply this and then just get dressed and get on with my day, I find I have to specifically put time aside to use it, so that I don't end up with horrible greasy marks all over my clothes. Even though it is so heavy though, once it's sunk in fully it doesn't leave a greasiness or residue behind, it just sinks right in to the skin.
Of course this lotion works fantastically. It makes my skin really smooth and amazingly soft, and when I used it I never got even the slightest hint of dry skin. But it also clogs the pores because it's so rich and heavy, and it tended to bring me out in spots in places I never usually got them, such as on my legs and shoulders. So while it is a great moisturiser, it definitely has it's down sides!
Of course there are the promises made by the media that this will get rid of scars and stretchmarks and firm up your skin, but I can't say I've seen any improvement in any of these whilst using the lotion for years, so I don't think it really lives up to the hype.
I won't use this anymore as I've found much cheaper products that have the same great moisturising effect, without the heaviness, so I'll be using them instead.
Summary: A good product but not without it's flaws
