Advantages: Affordable, VERY effective, smells delicious.
Disadvantages: Some people might be turned off by smell, leaves hands a little greasy.
My skin is not in an awful state but is prone to dryness, especially when the weather is very hot or cool. To combat this, I need to use a strong and effective moisturiser to get my skin back into the best condition. This is definitely the product to do this.
On the websites, it states that '<it> smoothes marks and scars, heals and softens rough, dry skin, and moisturizes and tones.' It seems like it is making some big claims about the product but it is definitely living up to the standards it is setting.
Smell: Just from the name alone we get an idea about how it will smell. It is rich and sweet, almost decadent. However, it is not overpowering and not as sickly as many of the 'fake-chocolate' beauty products on the market are. The cocoa smell definitely appeals to me.
Texture: Again, this is rich and so full of moisture. It is easy to apply and from the texture alone, you can see why it has the ability to make skin so smooth. The product is smooth although when left on your hands, it does have a tendancy to make them feel a little greasy. However, for all the good it does, this is only a small criticism.
Application: On the bottle, there are no specific application tips apart from 'apply daily'. I have been literally coating myself in the stuff from head to toe, and have definitely been feeling the effects of my new regime. I have found that you only need to use a small amount of the product as it really does go a long way :) Obviously, on problem areas use more. This is easy to apply and because of how smooth it is, I definitely reward it full marks.
Result: I haven't been using this long but am already feeling the results. My skin has visibly improved in tone and texture, and I am definitely going to continue using this for a long time. I have also been using it on my face and have had no breakouts or problems from doing so. The Vitamin E in the product help to reduce inflammation of the skin and my skin hasn't been in as good quality as it is right now.
If you want to buy this now then it retails as follows:
Superdrug- £2.09/250ml (should been £3.09- on special offer).
Boots- £3.50/250ml (you collect points with this though and it currently part of a special offer: buy one, get the second for half price).
As you can see, it is not the most expensive product out there and only a small amount really does work so it is a cost-effective product.
If you do suffer from dry skin then I would seriously recommend this product to you. It has done wonders for my skin in a short amount of time and I will continue to use this for a lont time now :)
Summary: Effective for dry and sensitive skin!
