Advantages: cheap, works brilliantly
Disadvantages: smells quite strongly of chocolate
I first started using cocoa butter a year ago when i had very very dry skin from a recent flare up of eczema. It helped clear this up immediately so i have stuck with it ever since.
The Packaging
The cocoa butter comes in a white bottle with a white and brown label on it. The brand name "palmers" is in a redish orange circle and the the cocoa butter wording is in a brown box underneath. I believe there is now a pump action version of the bottle now.
The Smell, texture and colour
Cocoa butter has a very distincitive white chocolately smell which lingers on the skin for several hours after its been applied. It is a creamy, yellowish colour and has a very smooth silky texture.
Uses
I believe its main use is as a moisturizer but it can also be used to help minimize the appearance of stretch marks and scars. They have now brought out a stronger version of this which is called something like "mummy butter" specifically designed for preventing or treating stretch marks :)
I also use this as an after sun lotion and as a tan maintainer and it works brilliantly as this as well. It also helps stop peeling in its tracks!
I use this as a moisturizer on my face as i have very dry skin and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth all day.
All in all i couldnt fault this in anyway and couldnt live without it.
Summary: fab!
