I'm not one to believe in fads, and things that sound like fads often turn me off. For instance, aromatherapy – what is that all about? Sure, there are scents that remind us of certain things, but how they're supposed to be therapeutic is beyond me. Still, I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so when I got a free bottle of Palmolive's aromatherapy anti-stress shower gel (that's the purple coloured one), I decided to give it a try. First of all, I have to say that I usually don't use shower gels that are meant to relax me, since my main purpose of showering in the morning is to smack me into a state of alertness and energy. However, since this gel ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of Palmolive personal care products, and over the years have developed a love for their range of shower gel. Not only do they smell great, they are made to meet individual needs. Their range of shower gels include products which promise to leave you feeling 'energised' and 'invigorated' or 'calm and relaxed'. My favourite has to be Palmolive Aromatherapy Anti-Stress Shower Gel. Enriched with natural essential oils of Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli it claims to 'massage your senses and soften your skin'. When shopping, I tend to try out a different brand each time I buy, but when it comes to shower gel, since coming across this product I ... Read the complete review

I am still not allowed to use shower gel or bubble bath whenever I go for a soak! Grrr stupid skin. For all those who have read my reviews before will know that I am not allowed to use such products as I am currently awaiting skin grafts. Instead of using the nice smelling, delicious bubbles I have to use Hibbi Scrub. Hibbi scrub to those who don't know what it is, just like I didn't before I had to use it, it is surgical scrub which is used to 'scrub up' before an operation. It smells like hospitals and I hate using it more and more with every use. I smell like disinfectant and I find it awful. The only upside is that it is pink. Everyweek when I ... At the moment I'm pretty stressed out! I have a lot going on in my life plus I'm a gym and Dooyoo junky which means my time is really taken up! One thing I do really miss is 'me' time. I used to love long lazy baths and watching dvds in bed with a hot chocolate but lately time has been really scarce on the ground! I haven't had time in a good couple of weeks for a long luxurious bath and for me shower times are quick every day before and usually after a long and tiring visit to the gym! So when I saw this anti-stress shower gel I had high hopes for it and so wanted the claim to be true! I'd love a moisturising and stress relieving quick shower ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of the Palmolive range of toiletries, mostly because I think you get excellent value for money in this range. At my local Tesco store, the shower gels in particular, are often two for two pounds and although I could buy a cheaper product (such as a home brand) this brand provides very good value for money. The anti stress shower gel is a favourite of mine, because of the use of the essential oils. The Lavender and Patchouli in particular are the dominant smells, which, as you rub this on your skin 'tingles' your senses and helps you to feel more relaxed. The liquid itself is thick and produces a great rich lather that washes onto the ... Read the complete review
