Advantages: A gorgeous smell, lovely texture and consistency.

Disadvantages: A fraction more expensive than similar soaps.

Of all the soaps I've bought and tried recently, this is my favourite. I hadn't tried much in the way of Palmolive soaps before, but the fact that this product is scented with almonds made it irresistible to me as I love the smell of almond!

This product is from the Palmolive Naturals range. Describing itself as a nourishing liquid handwash, it certainly lives up to its description. The front of the bottle says it is soap made with almond milk and as I've already said, this is one of the most inviting aspects of this soap.

The packaging is very straightforward, and is quite similar in some ways to the Radox range. The bottle is circular, transparent, with a white pump. The pump is one of the easiest I have found to operate; just one twist and you can start using the soap. Some of the others I have tried have taken several twists and even then have not opened because it hasn't been clear which way to turn it!

The Palmolive logo is a soft green, which stands out well against the background of the soap, which looks a very milky white. Emphasis is placed on the word "Naturals" and "Nourishing" is given prominence too. Then, in the centre of the bottle there are a few almond nuts (one opened) making it even appetising for the consumer. The nuts are accompanied by a blue swish which although not in keeping with the rest of the colours on the bottle, does make the almonds stand out very much.

So what is it like to use? One of my main gripes with many soaps I have tried is the texture - either too thick, too tacky, too greasy or slimy. This one is just right. Creamy, not thick, but not too thin either. It's strange because the emphasis on the milky nature of the product keeps coming into my mind when I use it, but it doesn't feel at all watered down or thin. It holds to the skin well, froths well and gives me a sense of really clean hands, without them feeling greasy afterwards either.

And the scent, as you may have guessed, is wonderful. It does linger a on the skin for quite a while afterwards, but not in an oppressive way, just gently hanging in the air and on your hands. And this is really pleasant and perks you up quite a lot.

The back of the bottle has a bit of blurb which is enticing as well as being reassuring. It states that the soap contains mild cleansers and skin conditioner, and that tests have proven it continues to nourish the skin even after washing hands.

All in all, a fabulous product and my favourite soap at the moment. If I had to have one gripe it would be that it is a few pence more than some other similar products. In Tesco and Sainsbury's I have seen it for around £1.64 and it features regularly in offers. So a very minor criticism because if you want quality you sometimes have to pay a bit more for it.

Summary: Great soap, lovely product, thoroughly recommended.
