Advantages: lathers well, creamy, feels luxurious, cheap
Disadvantages: I wasn't keen on the smell, packaging
Not so long ago I tried Palmolive's milk and honey shower gel which I really loved, despite my initial reservations, so I was keen to try the other Palmolive shower milk I had bought at the same time, the almond milk version for sensitive skin.
I am not a big fan of the scent of almonds, so I'm not sure why exactly I bought this. I know it was on a BOGOF offer, so perhaps it was the only other variety available, because I rarely buy the same thing twice!
The shower milk comes in a bottle like the one pictured above, and to me it does look very cheap, I prefer sleeker, more modern packaging. Saying that it is functional, however the flip-top lid can sometimes be a bit of a pain to open when you have wet hands as it's quite stiff.
This product is for sensitive skin and it also says that the almond and milk make it moisturising. That sounded good to me as my skin is very dry all year round and I am also prone to patches of eczema.
The shower milk is white in colour and a nice consistency - being neither too runny nor too thick. It lathers up really well and as I found with the last Palmolive shower milk I used, the lather feels incredibly creamy and luxurious against the skin - you certainly wouldn't think it was cheap.
The main downside of this product for me personally is the scent. To me this doesn't really smell like almonds, I'd say it was more of a sweet smell - in fact it reminds me of the smell of love heart sweets a bit - a sort of sugary, fuzzy smell! It's not horrible, it's just a little sickly and not really to my tastes.
After using this, my skin feels soft and clean, and doesn't feel dried out. The sweet sickly scent doesn't linger on the skin which for me personally is a good thing. It didn't irritate my eczema either, so its claims to be suitable for sensitive skin were true in my case.
A 250ml bottle of this shower milk costs just £1 from ASDA (although I have found that it's more expensive elsewhere). I think that is quite good value for money as only a small amount is needed per use, and my bottle has lasted me ages so far and is still about half full.
So overall, I think this is a good shower milk - it feels luxurious to use, is economical and leaves skin soft. The main downside for me would be the scent, but this is personal taste, and I would say that if you smell this in the shop and like the fragrance, then it's definitely one worth trying.
Summary: I'll be trying more of the Palmolive range in the future
