Advantages: Soothing, leaves skin soft, smells nice

Disadvantages: None!

When it comes to toiletries I am always on the look out to try something different, and as I am a debt-free wannabe I am always looking for a bargain. However as you may know from some of my previous reviews I cannot simply go for the cheapest product as my skin is prone to eczema flare ups. My partner regularly complains about the length of time we spend standing in Boots looking at the various products available, and is always pressuring me to hurry my decision up. So when I needed some new shower gel recently the pressure was on to make a decision.

**First Impressions**
When looking for a shower gel there are three key aspects I am looking for, those are; sensitive, moisturising, and perfume three. This shower milk ticked the first two of these boxes - two out of three isn't bad!

The packaging is as shown in the picture above. A simple white bottle with a peach coloured top, there is a flip top lid, however the lid can be fully removed (with some effort) in order to get the last few remnants out of the bottle. The front of the bottle has the name of the product printed across with a simple picture of what I assume is supposed to be an Almond (the main ingredient). It is also described as shower 'milk' rather than a gel - but does the same job!

One other aspect that drew my attention to this item was the fact that it was on offer in Boots for a very reasonable price of £1.00.

**The Product**
When squeezing the milk out of the bottle it is of a white colour and very smooth consistency. The first thing I noticed when squeezing it into my hand was the smell. The smell of almonds is immediately obvious; although I wouldn't describe this as an overpowering smell it is certainly evident even when you have finished showering. Obviously if you don't like the smell of almonds this isn't so great - although if this is the case you shouldn't really be buying this product!

As it is described as a milk I wasn't expecting there to be a great deal of foaming and therefore applied and rubbed in quite a lot of it into my skin, however to my surprise it did foam up a lot and I probably did apply a little to much to begin with! Only a small amount is needed to cover your entire body. Using a big sponge would also make the milk go further, however depending on how my skin is at the time the use of sponges can be to rough for my skin to handle.

When applying it, it feels as though it is already moisturising the skin (whilst still in the shower). Upon leaving the shower and drying myself off I was also surprised to notice that my skin didn't get the usual 'stretched and tight' feeling that it quite often gets when trying out new shower products. It seems to do what it claims to do very effectively which is to leave the skin feeling 'hydrated and soft'. I always apply moisturiser when getting out the shower, however with this shower milk I feel that this is not completely necessary - which can save time in the morning when I want an extra 15 minutes in bed!

It claims to be suitable for sensitive skin and due to the problems I have had with my skin I feel that I am in a position to confirm that this is the case. I wasn't left red and blotchy (which quite often happens) and rather than feeling dry, my skin felt smooth.

**Ingredients**
The main ingredients in this milk are almond extracts and moisturising milk. However upon closer inspection I was also concerned to find that there is a long list of various other ingredients - so it is not as natural as they would like us to believe! Many of them I had never heard of but they certainly looked like they could be chemicals to me such as hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (see if you can say that one), however after some research it seems that whilst these aren't natural ingredients they are regularly used in other shower gels, and they didn't seem to negatively affect my skin.

**Cost and Availability**
I bought this 250ml bottle from Boots for £1.00, reduced from £1.49 (which I still think is good value for the product). It is also available in all good chemists and supermarkets - however the prices may vary.

Summary: An excellent buy for those with senstive skin!
