	Pears Soap ... used to use Pears soap always but now there are so many gorgeous smelling soaps available we lost interest in it a bit. I went through a phase of doing competitions in January and one of the few prizes I won was a Pears giftset, which sounds nice but it was actually very boring with just 2 bars of soap in it plus a Pears handwash and a hand towel branded with the Pears logo. I gave them my mum for the downstairs bathroom because I keep my precious Lush soap in the upstairs bathroom where my dad isn t likely to get his oily fingers all over them. 	Pears Soap ... soap has been around for many years, yet it seems very contemporary, with its subtle fresh perfume which is unlike that of any other soap, its dark jewel-like colour and its stylish oval shape. It seems posh enough for the smartest bathroom, but I always associate it with the old advert, featuring a very dirty tramp, with the caption "50 years ago I used Pears Soap, and since then I have used no other". One of its key advantages is that it is very kind to skin of all ages. 	Pears Handwash ... I know suit my sensitive skin which happen to be on special offer at the time. Unfortunately last week there were only brands on offer in Sainsbury s that I know definitely don t suit me so for the first time in a while I was forced to pay full price for whichever bottle of hand wash I eventually opted for. I knew the cost issue was out of the window as soon as I saw the solitary bottle of Pears hand wash on the shelf, I ve used this in the past and loved it but priced at £1.85 for a 250ml bottle it s rather more expensive than the other hand washes I tend to buy.
