Advantages: Sucking a mint doesn't last long- this does
Disadvantages: Sweet tasting- it aint!!
It is sadly true that there are many people that do not seem to realise that their breath leaves a great deal to be desired. It may be they have an ongoing problem or that a recent meal was heavy on the spices and garlic. Or worse still - both. Underlying health problems require a visit to your GP, dentist, or oral hygienist, but in the interim those around the offending orifice need protection.
If like me you spend time in the sardine tins, that are known as London Underground Tubes or have the pleasure of spending a claustrophobic journey on the rush hour buses- you would be all to well aware of the need of a good breath freshener.
I use Retardex oral spray, it costs £2.99 for a 8.3ml spray. I get mine from Boots - but I believe it is widely available.
It is approved by the Vegetarian Society which is always a plus.
But the issue is it works immediately and works for hours.
This has, according to the packaging, been clinically proven, but clinical proof isn't needed as breathing into your cupped hand over your mouth and then smelling it will be the proof you need that it has worked accordingly. (Ok so that doesn't sound pleasant but needs must!).
The product is alcohol free and ph balanced.
So just a quick spray into your mouth from this handy spray, which takes up a minuscule space in your bag or pocket and you are safe to open your mouth in public.
If there is a mouth freshener that does the job and tastes great- well I still haven't found it and this isn't it either, But it isn't revolting and I suspect that mouth fresheners are a bit like medicine - we believe they cannot be working unless they don't taste good.
Most people with bad breath don't realise they have the problem so when it comes to personal hygiene and freshness- isn't a case of better safe than sorry?
Summary: A breath of fresh air
