Advantages: Uses recycled plastic.

Disadvantages: Price.

Plastic takes thousands of years to decompose, takes up space in landfill and causes harm and distress to marine organisms. It is very important to recycle it wherever possible so that new plastic isn't created and to keep old plastic out of the environment. It is also important to make a point of buying products made from recycled plastic otherwise there won't be a market for it and it will just pile up.

The handle of this toothbrush is made from 100% recycled plastic. It is packaged in a reusable travel case. Both the toothbrush and case can themselves be recycled. So you can brush your teeth with a clear conscience - remember to turn off the tap :).

Apart from its eco credentials it is also a very good toothbrush. The curved handle is nice to hold and there are a row of longer, softer bristles on each side of the head to protect your gums. The head is slightly smaller than my last toothbrush and I find this easier to manoeuvre. It comes in seven colours and Soft, Medium and Ultrasoft. The case is useful for travelling and sleepovers.

I admit I dithered for a while over the price (£2.92 in Sainsburys) but my conscience won the day and I am glad it did. I have done my bit for the environment and have a good toothbrush as well. Hopefully, the big brands will leap on the bandwagon and start using recycled plastic as well.

Summary: This is a good toothbrush that is also eco friendly.

What an excellent idea! I hope the big brands of toothbrush makers jump on this idea too...
