Advantages: Great value for money, works on every level
Disadvantages: Be careful how much you use and it's fine!
When it comes to standing in long queues in Primark I'm an expert at it. I seem to spend half of my life in that store. Yes I know the stuff is rubbish half the time but I'm a fan of updating my look on the cheap whether it be throw away fashion or not to be honest lol. I like my decent clothes of course but in Primark I can get belts and bags and stuff for pennies! So I love the store! However I get bored in my local store because it's heaving all the time and Primark know how to sell their goods to people like me...put a load of stuff by the tills. Socks and slippers, toiletries and make up and due to boredom levels of mammoth proportions when I have been there a good 40 minutes I look at 'cheap' stuff I normally wouldn't. I think shall I try it, then I think not and then I do as most of the stuff is a pound a throw and whats another pound type of thing in the greater scheme of things lol
I have tried (and reviewed) a few toiletries from the 'Innersense' Primark range now. Mixed results, usually being very good and great value for money and where as I've always been a brand snob when it comes to my toiletries and make up I have to say that the stuff on sale in Primark is no worse (sometimes better) than paying a hell of a lot more for stuff. On the whole I have been impressed which is why I bought this the other day (usually £1, reduced to 50p).
The Packaging....
250ml clear bottle that's roundish in shape and you can see the light gold coloured liquid through it and it has a shiny black plastic flip top lid to the top of it that conceals a small hole. On the front in black and light purple writing I'm told it's Innersense (Pure Aromatherapy Products), Relaxing Body Oil, 'Packed with pure essential oils of Lavender & Clary Sage to indulge the senses and sooth the soul while Jojoba Oil moisturises and softens the skin to perfection' and that it's 'Formulated with pure passion exclusively for Primark' and there is a lilac and purple drawing of what appears to be leaves up the side of the bottle. On the back of the bottle this time all in black writing I'm told a bit about the product, ingredients and contact details for Primark are listed and finally the size (as I've stated already) and bar-code are shown and then all that information is given in different languages as well. It's a nice enough bottle and I do like being able to see how much I have used etc and I do like the plainness of it so I can display it in my bathroom if I want to without it screaming loudly that I'm a cheap skate or anything lol!

Using It....
Well it is an oil so it's a wet liquid although to be fair it isn't a thick and/or a heavy oil at all and is very simple, easy and fuss free to use surprisingly.
Personally I apply it everywhere, particularly dry skinned areas on my body such as elbows and knees. You need to judge the amount of course and I don't say to use it liberally! A few drops at a time is perfectly enough and it is simple to get that amount out as your in control of gently squeezing the bottle and/or shaking it and it doesn't gush out everywhere. Just go easy with it and it's very simple to use.
So apply some onto hands and you have a nice moisturising feeling oil which is highly fragrant and fresh. Lavender is the predominant fragrance although it isn't harsh and/or fake smelling it smells really quite light and natural with no additives or anything to make it smell more pungent. There is a hint of Clary Sage to it as an undertone and the whole thing smells very natural and well blended and not as in your face smell wise as you may expect from Lavender. It isn't a granny fragrance anyway and the smell is very relaxing. I love Lavender and I adore the smell of this and am happy to use it before I go out with friends as they don't whinge about the smell as it's delicate lol!
All you you do is gently wipe it on the skin or massage it in. It's up to you. I have massaged someone with this and I found it easy to do but me, I prefer as I said earlier in this review that I like to use this oil on my dry skin in the main but have been known to coat myself almost head to toe in the stuff on occasion, when I've felt I've needed a little extra miniaturisation. Little product is needed so it is economical and will last you ages! lol
My skin absorbs this easily and I'm left feeling none greasy and comfortable. Use the right amount and be sensible you get no transfer, use too much or get dressed in a hurry then you will get a greasy residue although this has happened to me on a couple of occasions and I have personally found that it washes out of stuff on 40c anyway. You do need to make sure your dry though after using this of course and the less you use the better it all comes down to using your common sense really.
It leaves skin very soft and supple and smelling fresh and fragrant after using it. It does help dry, tight skin and I've found it great for rubbing on my stretch marks as it really seems to soften them and then I at least feel they are less visible. Not great over a spray on or fake tan as it makes the colour crumble and lift off but it is nice to hydrate your body after a sunbed though again, not to be used before a sunbed or anything! lol
The smells lasts for hours on the skin delicately and the hydration can be felt that you have achieved by using it until it's washed off! I'm a big fan of this and will repurchase it time and time again. It does give a relaxing feeling, it does soften the skin and as it's a nice product to indulge yourself with and yes I do believe that it does uplift the soul somewhat. At a pound a bottle (only in Primark) this is a product that offers results and has the feeling about it of something much more luxurious than how it appears in the bottle. It's a great economy buy without feeling economy! Brilliant!
Summary: A really brilliant buy, I'm so impressed!
