Advantages: Smells lovely
Disadvantages: Can't detect the ginger in there
Normally we have Carex in out house but for a change my mum came home with this one day because apparently it was on some sort of offer. I have used Radox before for shower gels and haven't been blown away by it so I wasn't exactly sure what to think. These cost £1.65. The one I have is called Radox Clean and Nourish which is part of a themed range that they do and for which you can find the equivalent shower gel or bath cream.
The bottle looks nice I must say. It's see-through with a white push pump dispenser. One of the things I like about this is that it doesn't dispense too much liquid when you depress the pump. With the Carex hand wash sometimes I felt that too much came out too easily which leads to wastage and sometimes it used to run down the side of the bottle so they wouldn't last ling before needing to be re-bought but this is not the case here which is nice. The liquid inside is a warm cream colour which would suit a lot of bathrooms as it's a colour that a lot of people have. There is a green Radox logo on the front and a picture of a flower.
It smells lovely sweet and creamy and very honeyish so I must say I was very surprised when I looked at the bottle having assumed it was a honey hand wash bearing in mind the smell and the colour of the bottle to find that it was in fact shea butter and ginger. I had not detected any ginger at all. Shea butter I know is very good for protecting and moisturising your hands. I am not sure whether it has that much of an effect given that firstly it's spring time and hands don't tend to be so battered in the warmer weather and secondly as it's a hand wash it gets rinsed off so I don't know that there can be any long-term effects. However it does clean very nicely and lathers up well and your hands smell nice for a while after.
I think this is a good buy and especially excellent value if on a BOGOF. I would happily buy this again and think this is a good alternative to Carex.
Summary: Yes I'd buy agiain
