Why this product
*******************
I decide to give this hand wash a try when I noticed it on special offer in Sainsbury's this week. I normally use Carex but because I like Radox shower gel and bubble bath I thought I would try this for a change
What Radox claim and about the product
*************************************
"Our clean & nourish hand wash is made with natural shea butter that helps to soften your skin. One little squirt under running water is all it takes to moisturise your hands for a softer touch.
What's got into it?
A dollop of shea butter, some natural ginger, a perfect pH balance, a thumbs-up from the skin experts, 100 years of Radox know-how." Radox

It comes in a plastic bottle that can be recycled. It is a pump delivery bottle that you can buy refills for.
I found the dispenser a little bit fiddly to open up with the combination of push down and twist so it now just stays in the open position.
On pumping into your hands a measure of the soap it delivers a small amount to lather up and wash your hands. You do only need to press once, as the amount dispensed is just the right amount you need to wash your hands. The soap is a nice thick consistency and not to runny and stays on your hands when you put your hands into the water. The soap produces a lovely creamy lather on your hands with plenty of bubbles. My son loves washing his hands with this. I also when washing his hands pump some into a full sink and this produces a wonderful creamy foam in the sink.
One of the first things you notice about this product is the smell it is a wonderful buttery smell. I have never been able to detect any ginger notes in the hand wash when I have lathered up my hands but the shea butter smell is absolutely divine. The smell also lingers on your hands after washing which I personally find very pleasant.
I had tried the Radox tea-tree and thyme hand wash in the same range and experienced my hands drying out especially in the palms. However with this hand wash this hasn't occurred and in fact my hands do feel a little softer.
The product claims to be naturally anti-bacterial which is one of the reasons I personally select a hand wash as in our house with a young child in nappies you need anti-bacterial how this achieved by this product I don't know but this hand wash feels a lot more kinder to my skin than other anti-bacterial hand washes.

- 06/10/09 I am halfway into writing a shower gel review on this exact fragrance. I really was pleased with its effects. The smell is lighter but I thought it very nice. I must buy the handwash now. Great review! |
