I never did like coriander and certainly not in a soap! (Radox Clean and Refresh Handwash)

I wouldn't normally have chosen to buy this liquid soap mainly because I don't like coriander however the soap was in the bathroom of the holiday cottage I stayed in recently so I thought I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to write a review!

The handwash is made by Radox and is from their "Clean & Refresh" range and has lime and coriander. The handwash is a blend of active natural ingredients which gives natural antibacterial properties. The lime is chosen for its "uplifting benefits" and the coriander for its "uplifting fragrance." As I don't actually like coriander I wasn't sure whether this was a handwash I would like using.


It comes in the standard Radox liquid handwash bottle, a clear curved bottle with a white plastic pump dispenser at the top. The bottle contains 300ml and retails for £1.60 currently at Tesco although they often have special offers where you can get it cheaper.

The handwash is a clear handwash with a pale green colour to it. It is of thin to moderate consistency, thinner than the creamier handwashes that Radox do. It is easy to dispense a small amount into your hand and it foams up easily in wet hands.

The smell is of lime although I found it hard to distinguish whether there was actually any scent of coriander. What I did find though is that it wasn't the fresh citrusy smell of lime I was expecting. It wasn't unpleasant but it certainly wasn't a smell that I particularly liked.

After using it my hands felt clean but I didn't like the scent left on them. My hands didn't feel any softer although they didn't feel dried out either.

To be honest I thought this was a slightly disappointing handwash from Radox. I didn't like the smell of it and I like handwashes which leave your hands feeling moisturised and this one didn't do it. If you pay full price for it I would say it was a bit of a waste of money and certainly not worth it. Even if it was on offer I wouldn't be tempted. This is one Radox product I wont be buying in the future.

Summary: A lime and coriander handwash which lacks any zest.
