Advantages: A beautiful smell, a better texture than some Radox products.

Disadvantages: Still a little greasy.

Having already reviewed one Radox soap product today, I thought I would give another one a go from the batch I recently bought. I thought it would be a good opportunity to compare and contrast.

Starting from scratch again, I'll go through the basics. This is from the Radox Clean & Moisturise range, and is one their better soaps. I really like this product a lot. Again, this is a natural antibacterial handwash, and this time it is made with chamomile and jojoba oil. The combination of these two scents leads to my highlight of the product, which I will come back to later.

The packaging is consistent with other Radox soaps. A rectangular shaped plastic bottle, with curved edges and a circular top. The plastic is see through and in this case reveals a white, creamy looking soap. The white plastic pump top is again consistent with other products - but why do I find it so difficult to open that pump in order to get the soap out? There aren't any directions for doing this, and although it should be obvious, it doesn't tell you which way to push or turn the pump to open it. Once it is open of course, my confusion on how to use it gives way (I don't want to come across as dense!).

The presentation of the product has the look of quality, although I do find the Radox logo a little bland. Set against the white soap, the green stripes break up a predominantly purple image, which shows a purple flower. It looks like a clean and inviting soap.

The scent is my highlight, as it has been with other Radox products. The combination of chamomile and jojoba is soothing to smell, let alone use to clean your hands. I can't make up my mind if it is a feminine aroma or not, but my partner tells me this one is his favourite so I don't think men will be worried about using it. I feel genuinely more relaxed when I smell it, because it has a calming richness which lingers in the senses for a while, without clinging to your skin all day.

One of my gripes with other Radox products is that the texture has been too slimy or greasy sometimes. This soap almost falls into that trap, but just avoids it and that's what gets this the extra star compared to other ones. It is still a little bit unpleasant - you know it cleans you hands but you don't have a great feeling of contact with the handwash. Although just as thick, it doesn't feel quite as slimy as other soaps, but does not lose the quality of moisturising. My hands feel pampered after using this soap.

You get 300ml in a bottle and it generally costs around £1.60 in Tesco. And remember to recycle the bottle, but not the pump!

Summary: A much better soap than some of the others in the Radox brand.
