Advantages: Cleans your hands but thats about it!
Disadvantages: Synthetic smell, thin consistency, doesnt moisturise
I am a big fan of Radox products, I love their bubble baths and have used their shower gels and soaps for quite some time. I always look out for offers when I am shopping and recently they had a buy one get one free offer on their liquid handwashes and the Revitalise handwash was in this offer so I thought I would try it.
What is it?
----------------------
It is a liquid hand wash which has extracts of orange oil and olive essence. Radox are well known for their quality products which have a natural blend of minerals and herbs so I was looking forward to trying it.
The bottle
-----------------
The product comes in a clear pump dispenser bottle and holds 300ml.
I found that after pressing the pump dispenser to dispense a small amount of the product some leaked out and down the side of the bottle leaving an orange mark around the bottle and on the side of the sink. Although this wiped off easily it was slightly annoying.
The Cost
-----------------
A 300ml bottle of the hand wash cost me £1.79 although as I said above I got it on a buy one get one free offer, so it worked out about 90p for the one bottle.
The Hand Wash
---------------------------
The soap was a bright orange colour and looks quite nice in the bottle. It is of a medium to thin consistency (I tend to prefer slightly thicker creamier soaps). It is more of a thin gel type soap than a creamy soap.
The Smell
---------------------
The smell was certainly orangey but I felt it was a bit synthetic. The ingredients show that there is indeed orange oil but there is also perfume as well and I felt a bit disappointed with the smell.
The Test
---------------------
The hand wash foamed up well and left my hands feeling clean and fresh. The orange smell did linger on my hands after I had washed and dried them. Although the handwash is pH balanced to be kinder to your skin I felt there were no moisturising properties and my hands didn't really feel any softer afterwards. As someone who suffers from eczema and dry skin I prefer my soaps to leave my skin feeling softer.
Summary
-------------------
To summarise I felt that this wasn't one of Radox's best products. It does leave your hands clean and fresh but I felt the smell was a little disappointing and not of the usual high quality of Radox. I don't think I will be rushing out to buy this one again even if it is on special offer!
Summary: A liquid handwash from Radox with natural orange oil but smells quite synthetic
