Advantages: Gorgeous smell, makes skin soft, good value
Disadvantages: None
I was never a fan of baths as a youngster, much preferring the quick dash in and out of the shower and then back to whatever I was doing again. However, as I've become a mum and consequently busy all day, I've come to treasure my peace and quiet in the evenings, especially when Daddy2harry whisks him off to his grandparents for a couple of evenings a week, leaving me home alone...bliss! In these rare alone times, I like to run a deep bath and relax until the last minute possible, so I also like to make the bath as luxurious as possible too, but I don't like to spend too much on it.
A few weeks ago, Boots had an offer on bottles of Radox bubble baths, selling them at just £1 each. After a while sniffing each one, I chose my 2 favourites. The first was a lovely delicate rose one which I adored, but Harry then poured down the plughole the next day to my horror. So onto the second bottle. This one was a real dark red colour and apparently contained Jasmine and Fig Extract, and is also a Limited Edition fragrance which is part of the Indulge Yourself range of Radox products. Upon opening the bottle again, I wasn't as keen on this as my other one that was wasted, but I had to give it a go as I had nothing else!
The bottle itself is the same design as all of the other Radox products available, with its long rectangular bottle and grey screwable lid. It has the green Radox logo at the top and then some information about the scent and what it contains. There is also a few flower petals on the bottle giving it a nice feminine look. It does look very luxurious and much more expensive that what I paid for it, so I hoped it would be worth it as well! The deep red colour of the bubble bath looks fantastic through the bottle, and I was intrigued to see what colour it would turn my bath water!
When you open up the bottle, the gorgeous scent hits you straight away. It is quite a sweet and floral smell, which is actually quite intense for a bubble bath. When you really inhale the smell, it can be very strong, so I suggest just a slight sniff will easily portray the lovely smell. When I poured it into my bath, I noticed how lovely and thick the bubble bath was, it left the bottle very slowly and glooped into the running water. I like to pour bubble baths directly into the running water as I find the smell gets much more potent in the bathroom, and also it creates more bubbles, yay! I didn't put too much in because it was so thick, and quickly the bubbles appeared as well as an amazing smell. Yum.
Despite the real deep darkness of the red mixture, my bathwater quickly became a soft baby pink colour which looked lovely and inviting! As I mentioned the smell was just delicious, I could have sat in that room just for the smell for ages lol. It was so flowery and beautiful, it was definitely the Jasmine coming through because I have no idea at all what on earth a Fig smells like...except when it comes in a Fig Roll...yum. Apparently as well as the Jasmine and Fig Extract, the bubble bath contains lots of other herbs and minerals so its pretty good for you and your precious skin! Sounds good to me!
As I laid in the bath, all I could smell was the lovely jasmine fragrance and I must admit it was very relaxing. Even after quite a while, the bubbles were still there in the bath and the smell was just as strong as ever so I was immediately impressed by the Radox brand for producing such a good quality product. When I had finished my bath, I emptied it as normal, and it didn't leave any residue or anything on the bath. The smell encompassed the upstairs of my house and even my other half said the jasmine smell was lovely! My skin felt very soft, the lovely smell and bubbles left me feeling really relaxed like I'd really been chilled out, and I really enjoyed my bath! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a luxurious and heavenly bath for a great price, it's just brilliant!
As I mentioned, I got this on offer from Boots for £1 for a 500ml bottle, but the regular price is £1.69, and I'd certainly pay that for it because it is a gorgeous product that will become a permanent fixture in my bathroom. However, its worth remembering that this is a Limited Edition fragrance, so I don't know how long its going to be around for.
