Advantages: Price and effectiveness
Disadvantages: The lid means you could waste it
*Introduction*
I regard an hour in the bath with a book or magazine or listening to music as time very well spent. It is my relaxation time, just chilling out after a day at work before going to bed. What makes a bath really fantastic is when you've used a really good quality bottle of bubble bath or bath soak. The other day I was suffering from a bit of an aching neck and as my mum suffers from having a bad back, she suggested using a bath soak that she uses to help try and ease the aches and pains.
*The Claim*
Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak lets you revive yourself with this black pepper and ginseng bath soak, to ease the aches out of your tired body.
*About the Product*
There is absolutely nothing quite like a hot soak to ease aches from your tired body. (I definitely agree with this). Taking a bath in this will help gently warm your muscles and revive your body and mind. Just sink in, lie back and feel rejuvenated.
*Application*
The directions for using this bath soak are as simple as it gets. Unscrew the lid of the bottle and pour a small amount of the bath soak into a running bath and hey presto! Only a little of the product is required for the bath to be filled nicely with bubbles. Don't overdo it as you'll only be wasting what can be used for another time.
*Price and Availability*
Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak is widely available to buy from smaller stores like Boots, Superdrug and Savers to larger supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda. I can pretty much guarantee that you won't struggle to locate a bottle in at least one of the stores that I have names but if you do, turn to the internet and buy it online at www.boots.com.
This bath soak retails at £1.60, a very reasonable price. At the moment it is currently on offer in Boots at the unbelievably low price of £1. That is the price of 2 chocolate bars so get down to your nearest Boots store quick.
*My Opinion*
The packaging: Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak is packaged in a tall, rectangle plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The plastic is clear and it enables you to see how much of the product is in the bottle at all times. This way you won't be disappointed when you go to use it and there isn't any left! The hole at the top of the bottle that you dispense the bath soak from is fairly large. You will need to be a little cautitious when tipping it into your bath as you only need a little and you could end up wasting it as it comes out relatively quickly. I quite like the modern packaging of the bottle as well as the fact that it is quite compact and doesn't take up a lot of room of your bathroom window sill.
Colour, texture and smell: The colour of this bath soak is a deep cherry red. The colour of this turns the colour of the water in your bath a red colour. This bath soak is relatively thick in texture and when poured into a running bath, it foams nicely into lots of airy bubbles. And what is fantastic is the length of time that the bubbles are present in your bath. I would estimate roughly 40-50 minutes! A lot longer than a lot of the bath soak and bubble baths that I have used.
As for the smell, it is lovely. I think that the scent of Giseng is fairly strong, especially when in the bottle but it is not overpowering when poured into the bath. It smells spicy rather than fruity like most bath soaks but it surprising pleasant. The smell of the bath soak fades after about 30 minutes of being in the water but this is fine by me.
Does it ease the aches out of your tired body? I was suffering from a bit of an aching neck and after soaking for an hour in this bath soak, I felt a great deal better. Now whether this is because of the bath soak itself I can't be sure as having a hot bath alone is supposed to ease aches and pains slightly. What I do know is that after stepping out of the bath my neck felt significantly better and I was left feeling relaxed.
Longevity of the product: I would estimate that Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak lasts approximately 2 weeks when used on a daily basis by two people. Obviously, this will vary depending on how often you have a bath, how many of you are using the product and how much of it you use.
*Would I Recommend This Product?*
I would positively recommend Radox Muscle Therapy Bath Soak as a product that you should buy. It has a great smell and creates lots of bubbles that last for a long time in your bath. After getting out of the bath, my neck that felt stiff to start with was left feeling relaxed and 100 times better.
*Overall*
This bath soak is pure self-indulgence that everyone should enjoy. It is a fairly low price and economically good as you need very little for good results. And it is great for guys as it doesn't have a smell that will linger on your skin and it isn't flowery or fruity.
Summary: A super bath soak to help you relax your muscles
