Advantages: Smells lovely, Good price

Disadvantages: None

As I said in my previous opinion I am currently trying out lots of different shower gels for use in my new shower cubicle, which I love!

And what better time to try out the Radox Shower Gels than when they'e on B.O.G.O.F. (Buy one get one free) at Boots? So that means two shower gels for £1.99 or even better for 199 Boots Advantage card points like I did.

I treated myself to my first two today and the first one I tried was Radox Showerfresh Energise!

It comes in a bright almost fluorescent green plastic squeezable container with a hook on the top so that you can hang it up in the shower. It has ridges in the plastic down the sides so that it is easy to grip with wet, soapy hands.

The best invention for me is the gel dispenser bit. To get at the shower gel you have to flip the plastic lid and squeeze the container. Nothing unusual in that you might think but where the gel actually comes out is a clear plastic disc covering the hole with a tiny hole in the centre which means that the shower gel does only come out when you give it a squeeze. This means that if you do happen to drop the container in the shower and the lid is flipped open when you do so the shower gel won't run out and be wasted. Clever eh?

The gel itself is a light, bright, vibrant shade of green, reminiscent of that gunge that Noel Edmonds used to use to soak people on his show, but don't let that put you off, because it smells lovely.

According to the writing on the container it contains a 'secret blend of herbs and minerals' and is made with 'lime extracts'. This works extremely well for my own personal preference. I find the Original Source Lime Shower Gel far too strong in fragrance and far too harsh on my sensitive bits, but this is a lovely fresh smell with a hint of lime to give it that 'wake you up' sort of feeling in the shower.

It is supposed to energise and invigorate and I found that it did ju
st that. I felt fresh, clean and wide awake when I got out of the shower.

It is also PH balanced and has an 'active skin conditioning formula' intended to leave your skin feeling softer and smoother and my skin certainly felt and smelled lovely when I got out of the shower. I kept getting a whiff of the fragrance during the day too, so it obviously lingered on my skin.

Radox is made by a firm called Sara Lee, a part of H & BC UK Ltd. I still haven't yet found out if it?s the same firm that makes the gateaux, but I do think that it might be as the signature on the back of the container does look to be the same one that adorns the front of the gateaux boxes.

As usual the shower gel does carry a warning to avoid getting it in your eyes - if you do wash out immediately with cool, clean water, obvious I know but worth a mention just in case.

In conclusion I would say that this is actually nicer than the Active one with the sea minerals, but hey - that's just my opinion!

There were about 6 different varieties when I went into Boots today so this could end up being a long running series for you all to read ??
