Advantages: Inexpensive and long lasting, giving a refreshing shower experience.
Disadvantages: Hard to get the last bit of gel out of the bottle.
Radox Showerfresh Invigorate! Shower Gel with citrus extracts comes in a 250ml lime green coloured plastic bottle, with a darker coloured green fliptop lid. The bottle shape is quite interesting, it is tall and thin and hooked shaped at the top to enable it to be easily hung in the shower – the sides have ridges in them so enable it to be handled by wet, soapy hands. One of the best design features which I like is that the lid has a rubber membrane on the inside of the lid which covers the hole – this has a small hole in it so that the product is only released when squeezed – this means that you can leave the flip top open without the danger of inadvertently loosing any of the gel. Radox Showerfresh is an all over shower gel with a zesty citrus fragrance, which helps energise and invigorate you. It contains active skin conditioners, which are proven to leave your skin feeling softer and smoother and smelling fresh and clean. It is also pH balanced, which means that it is kinder to your skin and can be used by the whole family. I have to say that Showerfresh Invigorate! is one of my most favourite shower gels for use in the morning – its scent is bursting with citrus lemons and limes which sharpens my mind and refreshes my body – it also contains the usual Radox secret blend of herbs and minerals. Only a small amount of the gel is needed on a shower puff which produces enough rich and creamy lather for the whole body. I know the list of ingredients is extremely boring, but as I had some time, I thought I would share them with you whilst testing my typing skills with the long and unpronounceable words: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Coco-Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocate, Parfum, Polyquaternium-7, Bensoic Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone CI19140. Radox i
s made by SaraLee and distributed in the UK by H & BC UK Ltd, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4AU. At the cost of £1.75 for a 250ml bottle, it is well worth giving it a go – look out for the two for £2.00 promotion which Tesco often runs – this is where I got mine from.

- 08/02/02 Clearly, I'm behind the times. Radox used to be something of a soothing comfort...
"Invi gorate" sounds a bit on the scary side!

- 05/02/02 I don't like bathing in lemony things - always smells like I am washing myself with Jif (or Cif - or whatever they call it nowadays). |
