Advantages: Pretty bottle
Disadvantages: No smell, no bubbles
Today Hubby and I have worked on the local lifeboat stall all day. We are members of the Llandudno Lifeboat Guild and we have a stall on the seafront every Sunday. This week the people who usually set the whole thing up and put it all away were on holiday so we stepped in to help. By the time we got home we were whacked!
I decided that a good soak in the bath would help and I looked in the cupboard to see which of my bubble baths I fancied.
The one that caught my eye was the Radox Solutions Deep Sleep.
It is obviously one of the posh Radox Bubble Baths as it is in a square clear glass bottle rather than the usual plastic one! It is the same size as the plastic one and has a silver coloured screw top and contains 250ml of bubble bath.
On the front of the bottle there is a picture of a crescent moon against a deep blue sky and the traditional green Radox logo. The wording tells me that the contents are 'foaming bath essence with lavender'.
The liquid inside separates after standing so is greeny blue at the bottom of the bottle and white at the top. When shaken the two mix together to make a light blue froth.
I opened the top and sniffed expecting to smell lavender but I was very disappointed as there was hardly any fragrance at all!
Never mind - I thought that the fragrance would be released in the bubbles when I poured the 'foaming bath essence' into the bath - wrong again!
I poured almost half the bottle into the bath and still there was no appreciable fragrance. There were very few bubbles and they started to disappear as soon as they formed. Bearing in mind that we live in a very soft water area I ought to have been up to my neck in bubbles!
I got into the bath and lay back to enjoy my soak. Sadly the enjoyment of the soak was just the fact that the water was hot and I was relaxing. The allegedly 'foaming' bath essence added nothing to the experience at all.
I have taken a look online and the current cost of this is about £4 so it is a bit more expensive than the standard Radox items but it is supposed to be something a little bit special.
In conclusion I would certainly not recommend this product at all, which is very unusual for me where Radox is concerned, I usually love them all but not this one!
Summary: Absolutely useless!
