I bought my ladyshaver a couple of years ago, thinking that it was the answer to all my problems, and wasted money buying disposable razors. I'd just be able to sit there and relax, whilst idly removing the hair from my legs, with no rash, no effort, and, most importantly, no blood.

so I bought this ladyshaver. It's not at the top of the range, but it's certainly not at the bottom. I must say that it's so much better to have a rechargeable shaver than one that uses batteries. So much cheaper, and no hassle. That's one thing that I find good about this product.

So I went home and charged it up fully, as per the instructions.

And I started to shave.

The hair stayed there.

It wasn't going anywhere. To cut a long story short, the ladyshaver didn't actually shave any hairs off my legs, and to make it even worse, if you push it into your legs a bit harder to try to shave some hairs off, the safety shield (the little mesh over the razor) comes off. Not particularly safe, I hasten to add.

Thinking that I could just have a "duff" shaver, I took it back to the shop and swapped it for another one, which did exactly the same thing.

A few things spring to mind to explain why it doesn't work on my legs. I did think that perhaps my hairs were took long to fit through the holes in the mesh, so they weren't shaved off, but it doesn't really make my legs very smooth if they are slightly stubbly. Equally, maybe my hairs are too thick or somethig else could be preventing it shaving effectively. I've asked at least 5 friends to try it, and they all were very disappointed.

This morning, I was tidying up and re-discovered my ladyshaver, and had a go, just to convince myself that I wasn't being mad all those years ago. It still doesn't really work.

After several tries at various hair removal techniques, I've discovered epilating, which is ve
ry painful at first, but by far the best way of hair removal for me.

I wouldn't recommend this ladyshaver to you as in my experience, it simply doesn't work very well, and also seems to be a tad dangerous!
