Revlon Shimmer Body Lotion

Another of my Revlon products given to me to try out, and always being willing to try things at least once, I gave it a whirl!

~~Product and Packaging~~

The product comes in a plastic 8 fl. oz bottle with a red press down dispenser to get the stuff out. The name of the product is written quite simply in red and instructions etc are on the back of the bottle. When I look at the bottle, I assume that it's clear and that the body lotion must be white because it certainly looks white.

So, I press down the pump and am gratified to discover that I am right- it is a white cream. The cream itself is quite thick (certainly not runny) and is easily rubbed into and absorbed by the skin. It has a very definite but not overpowering kind of floral/fruity smell and when I take a look at the ingredients, I notice that there is apple and grape seed extrat there so that's where the fruity smell may come from.

~~Using it~~

It advertises itself as "Flirty, soft, sweet", and tates that it will give an instant glow to your skin whilst moisturising it.

So, to achieve this, I follow the simple directions. All I have to do is smooth all over my body every day and I will have fragrant silky soft skin which will look radiant. Seems a good deal to me!

~~Verdict~~

I hadn't used many Revlon products before I got these, and was certainly not aware that they had such a range of products for the body beautiful- I had used the make up before.

This product is simple to use and really does moisturise my skin. It is absorbed easily by my skin and leaves me feeling moisturised. The smell is very pleasant without being over powering, and whilst it does last some time, it doesn't seem to spoil any perfume. However, because there is a definite scent, I do tend to use it before bed and not just before I apply perfume.

Whilst it is moisturising, I don't know that I have noticed any shimmer properties and don't know if this refers to the fact that it will actually make me shimmer or the fact that I should be so silky and radiant that I seem to shimmer!

Overall, a pleasant, nicely fragranced moisturiser which I would use again.
