Advantages: Long lasting protection
Disadvantages: -
My friends have been raving about this product for ages, telling me I should try it but to be honest Ive always looked at it in the supermarket and thought it was a little pricey compared to the usual deodrants I buy. However here's the story of what made me change my mind!
Mitchum was launched in the 70's by Revlon and is now widely available in 3 forms - Gel, stick and roll on with each type either fragranced or unscented. Is easily recognisable as it comes in pale green packaging which does stand out on the shelf.
My friend, convinced I should try it decided to give me a stick version of the deodorant that she had received on a BOGOF offer.
I was going to wait until I'd finished my current product before putting it to the test but we had been having a heatwave of a week (yes we do get them occassionally!) and my usual deodrant had at times left a little to be desired, nothing major but I wasnt 100% confident hence I tried the Mitchum! From the first day I used it I could tell the difference straight away. I felt the anti perspirant protection lasted all day and I wasnt constantly worrying about being let down.
The only down side of the stick variety was it was a little top heavy and application wasnt that easy as it left some debris on the arm. Therefore I decided to try the oll on variety
In my local supermarket the roll on was available in 2 fragrances - Shower fresh and powder fresh, I opted for the shower fresh. I love it! Application is easy and it smells exactly as it claims, like youve just stepped out the shower! It isnt sticky and fulfills its claim of minimising white marks. The fragrance lasted a good while and even after undergoing 'the gym test' I was still happy with the standard of protection! Although the smell had gone by the end of the day it hadnt been replaced by any unwanted ones either! (Sorry if thats to much info!)
Now to the point that put me off buyng it initially, the price! Its available locally in the price rane £1.60 - £2.20 but I brought mine on offer from Tesco on a buy 2 for £3. This is a little pricey when you think I brought my usual brand (sure, mum etc) for £1 HOWEVER you get twice as much for your money! The usual volume is 50ml BUT in the Mitchum roll on you get 100ml! Excellent! So when you think of it like that, along with the good protection you get I'd say its definitely value for money! In fact I would go as far as to say I wont be buying any other anti perspirant deodorant again!
Summary: Not as expensive as you think - Definite value for money!
