Advantages: Works!
Disadvantages: None but there is a very slight waft of fragrance to it
When it comes to buying antiperspirants I can't stop myself if I see a bargain when I'm out and about. I'm not particularly a sweaty person either I think it's more of a case in thinking it'll damn well stay that way if I have anything to say about the matter lol.
I do own alot of different brands and formulas but in all honesty I do prefer a spray antiperspirant. Now I know alot of people moan about white marks etc on clothes (me as well, it's a real pet hate of mine) but I don't like wet, sloppy messes applied under my arms equally. I don't mind roll on creams but for me a nice, dry unwhite mist is preferable!
One thing you will never see me doing on here is reviewing a cheap deoderant. The one's I purchase may be cheap in price as I do like my bargains for sure but I wouldn't buy something I'd never heard of before or a shops own make. I guess it's snobbery but amidst that is fear lol I don't wanna be a smelly broad, no way and the thought horrifies me lol!
So Right Guard is a name (of course) I've heard off even if I'd never seen this particular deodorant on sale before. It was in Body Care price at the £1.75 and the reason I bought it is actually because it's bigger in size than many I've ever seen before (bigger than standard anyway!) and even though I admit I didn't need it I felt it was economical so thought what the heck! Ok I'm a shopaholic I know I am lol
The Packaging....
250ml cylinder shaped can which is recyclable, aluminium and aerosol with a white push button sprayer situated at the top and a white plastic lid that covers it securely and pushes on and off easily. On the front it's half silver coloured and half light pink coloured. In white and navy writing on the front I'm told it's Right Guard , Women, Time Released 24h Protection. I'm also told the product is unscented and and that it's Anti-Perspirant Deodorant. On the back once again I'm told what it is, told a bit about the product, told how to use it, cautions are given as are the ingredients, contact details for Right Guard are given, size is stated, the recycle symbol is shown and finally there is a bar-code. The packaging of this is rather nice and like I said earlier the size is a real bonus!
About The Product.... (According To The Back Of The Can)....
Time-released active ingredients releases over time, when you need it most.
Provides 24 hour protection against wetness and odour.
Helps to keep you feeling fresh and confident all day.
Directions For Use....
Shake can well. Hold can upright 6 inches from underarm and spray.
My Experience....
Well I have been using this now for what feels like forever! It lasts ages! I mean ages too!
I use it on clean underarms after a bath or shower. I apply it as directed of course. You only need a small squirt and it sprays on cool and easily and dispenses a fine mist rather than a watery mixture. You can't see it once it's applied and you can get dressed right after using it.
White marks? What white marks? I wear lot of dark clothes and I use this at night with little black dresses and there is no residue to transfer. It's simple to use and gets even coverage and it's as simple to wear. You simply use it and forget it.
24hour protection? Absolutely no problem. Admittedly I'm not the smelliest person in the world so if you really suffer with BO I can't say whether it would work but I'd guess that it does to be honest.
The only thing I will argue with Right Guard about is that they say it's fragrance free. True... when it is applied you don't get any aroma but if you spray some say on to your hand I can really detect what smells to me like an Aloe Vera smell. It smells nice, fresh and obviously isn't strong at all if you can't smell it when spraying it or when it's on your body but it does contain fragrance even if it is derived from natural ingredients.
It makes my underarms feel smoother in a none fake smooth way and everything about this product is simply nice. I do like the fact also that it's fragrance free because that means that while it's doing it's job it isn't interfering with my body sprays and perfumes and things that I want to smell of!
Overall....
A really nice antiperspirant on every level. From ease of use, to the amount you spray on (being very little), to the none fragrance to the way it's so economical to the skin benefits of it. When you wash it off skin, skin doesn't feel dry or greasy or anything like that your simply ready to reapply whatever you want to being this or something else of course. I'm a real fan and hate white marks on my clothes and this does nothing negative! Love it!
Summary: Brilliance on Right Guards part!
