Instead of reviewing food and making myself hungry today I want to write about a field which I am probably best at reviewing and that is beauty products. As of late we are now in April and there is still no sign of hot sunny days like there were last year at this time. I have just decided to write a review on Sun Shimmer instant tan as I was looking through some photos earlier from last week's girls night out and Couldn't help but notice that one of my wrists had turned green! This is all down to Sun Shimmer! Whenever I use this tanning solution and wear costume jewelery (from Topshop or Dorothy Perkins) at the same time my hands and wrists get a funny green tinge! As I have said in previous reviews I am fair skinned and very pale and I don't tan easily at all. So when I was invited to Ascot for the day, which invloved wearing a knee length dress, I knew I needed to do something about my bright white legs! I headed to Boots and bought 'Rimmel Instant Tan Make-up' as I don't like fake tan, I thought this would be a good alternative because it washes off. I bought this fake tan for around a fiver in Boots last week along with many other beauty/makeup products as I am quite the addict! I thought this price was pretty good at the time but thinking about it afterwards, its actually kind of expensive for something that is wash on wash off. The packaging is fairly standard- a goldy/bronze theme with white and yellow writing which is exactly what you would expect from a tanning product with a normal squeezy bottle top which works just fine for the purpose. As long as this is applied to well exfoliated skin, and with a tan mitten, its great! I use sun shimmer in medium shimmer nearly everyday, because i find most fake tan's are a hassle and im too lazy to wait for the results! It is avaliable everywere but i usually buy mine from superdrug, were it costs £4.88 (www.superdrug.com). Sun shimmer is really easy to use. It comes in a gold plastic tube which is easy to handle and doesn't squirt out and get everywere. there are three shades, and six different kinds.
