i bought the rio scanning laser hair removal thing. i'm an idiot. do not buy this product. i have pale skin and dark hair - the perfect combo for laser hair removal apparently - but this thing didn't remove a single hair from my body. it makes all the right noises, even creates a burning smell, little whisps of smoke and lots and lots of pain - but it doesn't remove hair. not one. really. after buying this piece of junk i found out it's at least 10 times less powerful than the lasers they have in salons. it does nothing... don't buy it. i had to give it a star otherwise the review wouldn't be accepted but... it's not worth ... The Rio 60x Scanning Laser Hair Remover - BEWARE OF THE CON ! I would give this unit 0 stars but the system won't let me. I did a lot of looking online before I bought this and there were not many reviews for the new 2009 model that does 60x hairs at a time. The fight against "tarantula legs" has been a life long battle for me, so I thought this machine was the answer to my prayers. I am very pale and have black hair, so I am an ideal candidate according to the literature. The booklet also says that it is not suitable for dark skin, grey, white or red hair. I found the units on the Argos site for £ 293 and took the plunge and ... Read the complete review

Rio Electronic Hair Removal System After been fed up of having to shave my legs and armpits constantly I thought it would be a good idea to try out one of the electronic hair removal systems. I asked for one for Christmas and thought it would be really good. It looked quite nice, with a pretty lilac case and everything packed neatly inside. I was quite disappointed with only 2 big patches for the legs though as I think these would lose their stickiness really quickly, and although they are reusable, they probably wouldn’t last that long. I waited until I had time to myself to go through it. I read the instructions thoroughly; I didn’t want to ... Read the complete review

I was bought this system as a birthday present last year, which was a wonderful surprise. I had never heard of it before and I was just like a child with a new toy, just couldn’t wait to try it out. I have always used the traditional method of plucking my eye -brows and have never been to a beauty salon in my life. I know that a lot of women use the waxing method, but the thought of the pain, put me off ever trying this method. HOW DOES IT WORK : This treatment of hair removal apparently is an affective method practiced by professional beauticians. Its great because with this system you can achieve excellent lasting results in the comfort ... Read the complete review

I purchased this home electrolysis kit, hoping to rid myself of the horrid task of bikini and underarm waxing. The kit comes in a very handy and attractive purple carry case. Inside the components are all fixed, so that there is no need to take all the equipment out in order to set it up. It comes with the following: Electrolysis pen/tweezer 1 tube of conductor gel Mains adapter (although there is no option to use batteries) Electronic pulse pad (very similar to toning pads if anybody has used them) Elasticated strap to hold pulse pad Control box When using the product for the first time, I found the instructions ...
