Advantages: Smoothens deep stretch marks
Disadvantages: Doesn't help with cellulite and the orange peel is still there!
Ok there is no fooling me. I'm not fooled into believing a cream can take 6 inches off my waist in 6 weeks and neither am I convinced I can eat what I like and have a flat tum by chucking on some cream onto my flab.
I'm not going to ever have a perfect body, I've never possessed one and at 33 my quest for perfection has ended!
However....
I saw this at T.G Hughes reduced from £14.99 to £2.50, boxed and I couldn't resist trying it cos if nothing else..it's going to be a good body lotion!
The Packaging....
Gold box with the name and what it is clearly stated on it (Roc, Retinol Body Modelling 'expert'. I'm told it's moisturising slimming care and is also 150ml. On the back of the box I'm told loads of information but it's in foreign languages I don't understand and the same on the other side of the box. Then on the other side of the box I'm told why and how it should work and what to expect from it and how to use it.
How And Why It should Work...
Technological innovation Roc's latest generation care provides advanced efficiency thanks to it's new 'lipo-reduction technology'. The new formula contains a unique association of effective ingredients.
Retinol - An active vitamin recognised to help maintain skin's tone and elasticity.
Roc's new lipo-reduction agent and caffeine: combined to help energise cells and help to reduce fatty deposits.
From first application, your skin is moisturised, visibly softer, smoother and more toned.
Clinically proven efficiency.
In 8 weeks..
Your skin is visibly firmer, visible efficacy on 91% of women.
The orange peel appearance is visibly reduced: visibly reduced: visibly efficacy on 86% of women.
Stubborn zones appearance is visibly diminished: visibly efficacy on 70% of women.
Your figure is visibly reshaped and slimmed - 2cm average and up to 3.7cm reduction of the waist.
How To Use....
Apply twice a day on the desired area: stomach, thighs, buttocks and hips with light circular massages. It's cream-gel texture, slightly perfumed and highly-absorbent, provides an immediate sensation of freshness. Allows you to dress quickly after application. Use all year round or in a two month regime.
The bottle matches the box, gold aluminium tin again stating what the product is and who it is by and and tells me on the back what to do in case of the dispenser clogging up. It has a clear plastic push on/off lid and the lotion is dispensed by a button at the top.
Using It...
Firstly the white lotion is as I said dispensed by the push down button. Basically one push and lotion is dispensed till you stop pushing it. The tin is worth mentioning cos it's very well thought out. Although it is smooth it's kind of frosted which makes it easy to handle through out the application. This impressed me.
The smell of lotion however is not pleasant at all. It's not medical or anything but it is kind of floral and menthol and highly fragranced instead of as promised light. It really isn't light and I don't like the smell at all, in fact it makes me feel sick and I can smell it even when it's completely dried into my skin and I have my clothes on!
The lotion is simple to apply it's really easy and because it is fairly thin spreads on the desired area easily and you don't need very much even for big areas like my bum!
Use to much and it takes ages to evaporate into the area and it's slightly sticky so for me less is more and I add a small amount and if I need more then I can add it and omit the sticky feeling. You really need to use this with caution cos the stickiness just isn't pleasant at all and if you get dressed and you've put to much on then it gets over your clothes and grease gets everywhere! I did this but not with clothes, I put on fleecy dressing gown after using it and I got stuck up!
Results...
Well I've been using it for over 8 weeks. Now if you have alot of area to do and you want this product then one bottle possibly won't last you that length of time so do be warned.
From the first application I did notice that immediately after using skin felt softer. I do have stretch marks on my stomach from gaining and losing weight and I do have some orange peel on the back of my legs and they were softened immediately. This is one of them products that every time you use it you will notice that, it's just a really good moisturiser in that respect.
Long term results....?
Skin is definitely better to the touch but the appearance is no different. I haven't suddenly got a smaller waist or a flat belly. This is not a diet in a can no matter how its marketed. However skin does to me feel a little bit more firmer round my tummy though that could be my imagination. However as I said this is a really good body moisturiser and in fact one of the best I've ever used once I got the hang of it but the smell is too much to take. Now I would've used it as a treatment regardless of the fragrance if it worked but just cos it gives me soft skin? Not a flipping chance!
Overall...
Disappointing. Not to me cos I didn't expect it to work I bought it cheap after all but it would be to someone who went and splashed out on this as it isn't cheap in my book. great to smoothen and soften stretch marks but this isn't a miracle and you wont go from Dawn French to Kate Moss in 8 weeks sorry to shatter any illusions lol
Summary: Great on stretch marks but not on anything else!
