Advantages: Nice can, great long lasting smell
Disadvantages: Not fruity (if you read the labelling), bad to spray due to stiff button
Yet another body spray review this was on offer in Sainsbury's at 49p rather than having it's usual price tag of 99p so as I have explained in a couple of my previous reviews I stocked up on a few as I am a heavy wearer of body spray as a rule. As a smoker I always get paranoid that I whiff of smelly fags so although I do bath and shower (of course lol) I do like to be able to freshen up and if I can do it cheaply all the better says I!
The Packaging....
Light and darker pink aluminimium, tall cylinder can with silver push button integrated sprayer to the top of it and a matching pink (almost see through) plastic lid that pulls on and off it. On the front in silver and pink writing I'm told it is 'Passion' (written length-ways) up the can and under that I'm told it is 'Sainsbury's Body Fragrance'. On the back and all in small black writing I'm told a bit about the product, directions and warnings are given, ingredients are stated, I am told Sainsbury's are against animal testing and fund research into alternatives, and finally the size is again stated, the aluminium symbol is displayed and there is a bar-code on there.
Out of all four fragrances this body fragrance is available in this is by far my favourite can in appearance. They all look the same though have different colour schemes but to me it just looks nice and classy and being pink suits me just fine! It doesn't look 'economy' and you can display it without it screaming what a cheap skate you are if you choose to!
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Can.....
Sainsbury's Passion Body Spray has a warm, fruity fragrance with deodorising action to help give long lasting freshness throughout the day.
Directions For Use....
Shake can before use. Hold can 15cm (6inches) from body and spray.
Me Using It....
Well I of course shake the can well first as directed as I always do as I'm told (yeah right lol!). I then spray this on my body at a good distance away. Like all the other body sprays in this range it is hard to evenly spray and go due to the stiff button situated at the top of it. I can manage ok spraying where I can see and with the can upright however I find it more of a bind to use when wanting to 'angle' it or spray at the back of me and places I can't see. These buttons in my view are way too stiff and it is tricky to use for this reason however achievable it is I'd just prefer it to be a little easier as Im lazy lol!
The spray comes out as a fine, slightly moist mist. It dries immediately and gently seems to hydrate my skin slightly leaving me comfortable. You can't see it on the skin and it's none irritating.
Smell wise, my favourite in the range by far. Warm, floral with a hint of sweetness I guess the smell is slightly old fashioned and with no hidden agenda to it. It is what it is and that's a gentle bright and breezy flower smell. Not too sweet, not sickly it is rather romantic and although quite fragrant when first applied does really soften on the skin though it remains detectable till you wash it off. Strange though as Sainbury's say this is a fruity smell and it really isn't to me!
This isn't an in your face fragrance though with this one I do understand why it's called a body fragrance and not a body spray. On a warm summers evening this would be lovely and fresh sprayed in place of perfume as it does stay put nicely and me, I'm happy to spray this everywhere for a hint of scent.
Overall....
Very pretty and long lasting, I really do like this one and would buy it again. It's just a nicely blended rich floral body spray that remains lady like and airy. Sophisticated? This is in my view and I love it!
Summary: A great every-day smell!
