I seem to lose count of the number of bottles of shower gel that my household goes through on a monthly basis. This is mainly due to an over-enthusiastic seven year old who has finally decided that having a shower and being covered in water is actually a pleasant experience. My goodness I remember the days when I'm sure the neighbours thought that I was trying to murder him in the bathroom. His screams reverberating around the entire street. I am glad to say that he has grown out of this rather disturbing phase. He now quite likes the feeling of being clean and smelling suitably fragranced particularly after playing football. My husband and I tend to use original ... Read the complete review

I have bought a couple of bottles of this shower gel recently, and have been pleased with it. It is from Sainsbury's Basics range, and costs a mere 10 pence for a bottle containing 300ml. It looks very similar to the Tesco Value Shower Gel, which is the same price and the same amount. The two products are in an identical bottle, it is just the label and the colour of the shower gel that are different. It is quite possible that they are produced in the same factory, and just have the supermarket's own label added, and a different colouring to the shower gel. The label says that it 'cleans, no added promises' and that is exactly what it does, as it is a great value basic ... Read the complete review

When my mate told me about this shower gel from Sainsburys I couldn't believe you could buy a bottle for 10p and even though I usually like nice shower gel I thought I'd try it because it's loads cheaper than other brands I buy. It's loads better than I thought it would be and smells nice with a nice apple smell. The gel is quite thick and a bit sticky when I put it on my scrunchie but that's ok because it means it doesn't all slide off when I tilt the scrunchie to have a wash. The shower gel doesn't lather up that good but for 10p I wasn't expecting a load of thick bubbles and what you get are good enough for washing with. On the ... Read the complete review

Touch wood, the recession hasn't affected our household too much. While relatives have faced redundancy and others have suddenly found themselves hundreds of pounds a month better off as tracker mortgages plummeted, we've been trundling along quite the thing. The difference that it has made to our household (and I suspect in thousands of other households) is that has scared the living daylights out of us! The thought that most people are only a few payslips away from disaster is a sobering one and we've tried to save more and cut back on our budgets as a result. Clean and fresh for £1.20 a year Sainsbury's Basics shower gel is one of those products ... Read the complete review

Never would I dream of purchasing a really cheap shower gel.... usually. To be honest I have loads hanging about my bathroom but when I saw this at the usual price of 10p I really had to buy it! Intrigued I was and when I was growing up and there wasn't a lot of money about in my household I remember us using stuff like this and rough old pink toilet roll and powder coffee! Yes I'm glad times have moved on and as it has I really wouldn't buy this...normally... but not only was I intrigued by this 10p product but suggestion congestion (on Dooyoo) meant I was sat about with not alot to write about and when I saw this I remembered there was a link here for this! ...
