The cap is a screw on/off type which we usually find on toothpaste tubes. Before getting to the toothpaste there is one of those metal peel off seals which needs an adult to get it off. Once this is off we can give the tube a squeeze and out comes the toothpaste. It's plain white with a very pepperminty smell which myself and little Miss liked instantly because we both like peppermint.
