Advantages: Works brillianty, soothes tired feet and legs, easy to buy, good price
Disadvantages: None
If you spend a lot of time walking as part of your job or just for some good old exercise then your feet do tend to get very tired and achey and as most of you will now know I hate feet but as they are my feet and I like to keep them in good condition because they are an important part of my body, I put the hatred aside and treat them as much as I possibly can.
The last few reviews I have done have been based on keeping your feet looking good and feeling relaxed and this review is about a product which I keep in my desk drawer at work and at home for emergencies and I think it is brilliant.
Sally Hansen as some people will know designs beauty products for the hands, feet, body, legs, lips, nails and for men to name a few. Each product is tailored towards a particular problem in the hope of finding a solution and most of the products can be bought on the high street in places like Superdrug and Boots at really good prices. Sally Hansen products can also be bought online through websites such as Amazon which makes the products really easy to find and purchase.
It seems you can buy just about any kind of product today for any kind of complaint, a few days a go I happened to see a deodorant stick designed for people who have smelly feet which for some will be a god send, if a little embarrassing to buy. For me and my non-smelly feet, I just want something as a quick fix to soothe the aches and pains from being on my feet all day when I can't get home to use the foot spa and cannot really use one in the office.
The Spa Foot Moisture Mousse, although a bit of a mouthful is designed to cool those hot, tired achey feet whilst refreshing and revitalising them. The mousse itself is like a hair mousse and is sold in a can with a purple pull of lid. Once the lid has been removed you simply pump the nozzle to release some of the enclosed mousse to massage into your feet. The mousse itself is quite a thick textured mousse so you don't need to use a lot of it to cover your feet, unless of course you have huge feet. Each of these three products I have reviewed of late all have similar styled packaging because they are part of a set and the colouring of the products is purple and lilac which makes them stand out on the shelves in my local Superdrug because they are placed next to the brightly coloured products from another leading brand. This foot mousse retails at £5.59 and the container holds 250g. The good thing about this size product is that it takes up very little room anywhere that it is being stored and because it is a cooling product it needs to be kept out of direct sunlight.
Sally Hansen's Spa foot Mousse is easy to use. Firstly you need to ensure that your feet are at least clean, nothing worse than touching feet which haven't been washed. You firstly need to shake the can really well before using and then you simply squeeze onto your hand and massage the foam mousse into your feet and as soon as the mousse is on your skin you will feel an instant coolness which immediately cools down your feet to relieve that aching feeling. As the mousse is massaged into the whole foot the cool feeling on your skin is really relaxing and not only does it relieve tiredness but it also helps to fresh and deodorise your feet as well as moisturising them. This mousse can also be used on your legs as well as your feet, so if you have had a good work out in the gym, have been for a run and so on and you get that burning feeling in your legs then this mousse is brilliant for cooling them down and easing that burning feeling.
The reason this foot mousse is so refreshing on your feet is due to its ingredients which again because it is part of a themed set by Sally Hansen you will see Tea Tree Oil which is designed for troubled skin and it is especially good as a cleanser of the skin. Tea Tree Oil is also used to remove any kind of fungal or bacteria which may be lurking around your feet which could lead to infections and acts as a deodorant on the feet, so if you do have an issue with smelly feet, this might just be a good cure. Secondly there is lavender which again is one of the dominant ingredients throughout these products and although a lot of people have said they don't like the smell of Lavender, within this product it isn't so strong. Lavender is soothing and calming effect on the nerves and helps to easy stress and tension whilst relieving pain, so for those throbbing feet this is ideal and it works in two ways, by helping you to mentally relax and relieve any tension and to soothe your aching feet. Then we have some Aloe Vera which has many benefits for the skin and for this purpose it serves as a soothing ingredient but it is the ingredient which brings the coldness effect which cools and soothes your feet within this product.
So once you have finished massaging your mousse into your feet, one thing you should notice is that the coolness effect is long lasting on the skin and you can smell the Lavender and Tea Tree Oil as which lingers on the skin for a long period of time, it takes a good few hours for the smell to disappear totally.
The skin on my feet is also very smooth and there is not a sight of any hard skin or any problems with my heels just supple soft skin which I am grateful for.
This is not a product I use daily, it is something I use when my feet are sore or my legs are sore after going to the gym so its life expectancy is quite long for me, but if you are someone who would need to use this product more regularly then it should last a good few months because you only need a small amount of the mousse to completely massage your feet.
I am a big fan of this foot Mousse and I think it is a real bargain and a nice treat for every one in a while to help relax and soothe your tired legs and feet. SO if you want a foot mousse which:
-->Brings a cooling relief to tired feet
-->Immediately cools & comforts those aching, burning feet and legs
-->Refreshes & deodorises your feet and
-->Soothes, moisturises and softens your skin.
Then this is a great product to buy. I think it is brilliant and it is always something I will always have within my desk drawer or at home.
Summary: A leg and foot soothing mousse

PRINCESSPUSSYCAT - 03.07.08 I have never tried a mousse I would like this. The only thing is that it is Lavender. Another fragrance would be better for me. Well reviewed. :) |
