I live in the USA and am looking for Silkymit. I bought them at Walmart a while back, but I cannot find them anymore. They worked wonders. My legs were smooth and silky, no bumps, no redness. You have to be gentle when using Silkymit. Go in a circular motion and softly. The hair comes off so easily. If you use a self tanner this product is great. I hope someone can tell me where I can purchase Silkymit. I have been on a search, but have not had any luck as yet. I have used all kinds of shaving products and removals for my legs and I think that Silkymit is the best. I learned about Silkymit from my Mother-in-Law when she was in her 70's. Now I know why her ... Read the complete review

I use Silkymit hair removing gloves all the time and they are a great way of removing leg hair fast. The big bonus is, they are a wonderful exfoliator too, so the hairs are less likely to become ingrowing as they grow back. Silkymit gloves come in packs of three and are available from most drugstore/chemists. I usually buy mine in Savers or Superdrug, the price is about £1.60 for a packet, which lasts for an amazingly long time. I use the gloves after I have used an epilator on my legs - I can then get rid of hairs that I have missed and exfoliate at the same time. (Exfoliation is a must if you are epilating or waxing, otherwise hair regrowth is restricted, ... Read the complete review

Hair removal is such a pain, especially when you have a fear of shavers! Luckily for me there are creams and sprays available that all offer a pain free hair removal experience. So after years of using Veet (originally known as Immac) spray and having nice, soft, hairless results I was distraught when I suddenly noticed my legs were really painful after use and I looked like I had scratches all over them. Strange really when you're using a sponge to remove the spray isn't it? I didn't have a clue what I was going to do. Creams are messy and really smell but the only other option was either shaving or waxing, both of which I am too chicken to do! So imagine my relief when ... Read the complete review

OK, girls, let's be honest hair removal is not the most pleasant part of our beauty regime. It is either messy, painful, or both. I've tried every new product as it becomes available, or I thought I had. Shaving irritates my skin and leaves me with a rash. Cream is messy and takes too long and as for waxing it's both painful and messy. Epilators are so painful that they make my eyes water. It seemed I was doomed to live in trousers for the rest of my life. So you can imagine my surprise and delight at discovering the Alida Silkymit hair removing gloves, described as the sensible alternative to shaving and waxing. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The Product ... A few years ago I saw a hair removal mitt in a magazine (not the silkymit, a different one). I thought it looked a good idea - I usually shave or depilatory-cream my legs but wanted something I could do on dry legs, without the hassle of shaving lotion, etc. I never got round to buying one back then so when I saw "The Original Silkymit Hair Removing Glove" in Boots yesterday, I thought I'd get a pack. I opened the pack and found, basically, 3 pieces of fine sandpaper kinda stuck into a loop. Not even mitt-shaped, in my opinion, just looped round to fit over your hand. I was a bit disappointed but decided to give them a go. The instructions say to ... Read the complete review
