Advantages: Great for smoothing rough old crepey skin, and hair removal is a bonus

Disadvantages: unable to purchase in Australia, for some odd reason

Not only for hair removal, if you were a sunbaker back in the dark ages, when the world was flat and we had no idea of the extent of damage the sun did to our skin, you will appreciated silky mitts. My arms are getting the crepe paper syndrome, getting rather dry, and I have some odd skin problem, where it itches constantly, most likely stress related. Anyhow, silky mitts are fantastic for exfoliating the surface only, even though it be the most temporary thing available, for that special night you can have really nice arms, legs, face (as long as you are gentle with them) and for those ugly, dry spots which don't want to go away, and the Dr assures you is not skin cancer, and rough elbows, well, they can be smoothed away temporarily, then plaster with an ordinary gentle moisturiser like Oil of Olay. The way I am raving here one would think I sold these products, but, my problem is, I don't seem to be able to find silky mitts anywhere in Australia anymore, and would love it if someone could seriously tell me where I can purchase them here. I live in Melbourne, Victoria, and I think the chemists here are sick to death of me, not to mention the youngens who work there look at me blankly when I ask if they sell silky mitts.
I have had to resort to emery boards, and they aren't really up to the job.PLEASE, can someone help me find this product in Oz, I would love, once again, to be able to just walk into a shop and purchase them. As for the Oil of Olay, well I get that in in a ten gallon barrel. If I don't find some soon I may have to resort to knitting some myself, just joshin, will have to invest in the finest sandpaper, cut out pieces and sew them on the machine, bit drastic don't you think?
Any help would be appreciated, email me at janet_jordan16@yahoo.com .
Thanks to anyone caring to read this and help me.
Janet Jordan

Summary: I am desperate, I need this product.

the pharmacy on the ground floor of burwood westfield in sydney has been selling silkymits for a long time. i've been buying them there for a while now. $6.95 a box... not bad value, but they are happy to order in for the next day if out of stock.

Hello!

Ironica lly, Silkymit is actually made in Australia and licenced to Europe!!
The good news is they will be on sales in Australia VERY shortly.

They are listed on EBAY.com.au (ONLY ONE AUSTRALIAN COMPANY, rest are English)

ALSO, www.silkymit.com.au will be on line at the beginning of January 2007 where you can order them and they will be sent out next day by Australia Post!

Well this was never meant to be an advertisement, just wanted to know where to find them, and thank you for suggesting a google search, that is exactly how I ended up on this site. Now I would like to delete the whole darned thing but have no idea how to. I cannot buy them online as I do not hold a credit card and do not wish to either. A shop, point of purchase would have been good. Thanks.J2
