These are fantastic, I spotted these a few years ago in Superdrug, a pack of three for £1 and it was an impulse buy really, I didn't really know what they were about as I hadn't heard of this product before. They are basically like fine sandpaper gloves (using the term 'glove' loosely - it's a loop of sandpaper that you put your hand ... Read the complete review

These little mits are like little gloves of very fine sand paper. You slip the mit over the tops of your fingers and then you gently rub away at your leg. The friction effectively files away the hairs on your leg. I was a bit worried about using these at first as I thought I might end up sand papering off the skin from my leg but this ... I use Silkymit hair removing gloves all the time and they are a great way of removing leg hair fast. The big bonus is, they are a wonderful exfoliator too, so the hairs are less likely to become ingrowing as they grow back. Silkymit gloves come in packs of three and are available from most drugstore/chemists. I usually buy mine in Savers or ... Read the complete review

I have very sensitive skin, and get nasty rashes with both hair removing creams and shaving - I had a nasty experience with wax a few years ago so won't try that. With this in mind, I was intrigued when I saw Silkymits in Wilkinson for about a quid. They are just like sandpaper, with a very fine grain. Very easy to use, you just rub ... I love these things, however, I use them on freshly showered skin, gently towel dried and I use straight strokes against the hair growth to remove hair AND exfoliate.....fabulous results!!

I live in the USA and am looking for Silkymit. I bought them at Walmart a while back, but I cannot find them anymore. They worked wonders. My legs were smooth and silky, no bumps, no redness. You have to be gentle when using Silkymit. Go in a circular motion and softly. The hair comes off so easily. If you use a self tanner this product is ... Read the complete review

this product is great. i thought as they were only 79p in wilkinsons for three i may as well give them a try. i didnt think they would work too well as they are very cheap but they are amazing. they leve your legs smooth and it is so quick. i normally use other methods eithr shaving or hair rmoval creams, they take time, normally a vry unpleasant ... Looking for an alternative to shaving I decided to try silkymit however after using it only once straight away I've noticed that it's definitely not for me. Whilst on the plus side the product is easy enough to use and is chemical free, if you buff too hard it can be very painful. I found this out the hard way when I buffed too hard on a ... I bought the silkymit just this year and thought that i should try them, i saw them in a magazine and was looking for them and finally found some. When i opened the packet and showed it to my friends, they were really surprised and said it looked just like sand paper. I agree. It feels just like sand paper too but i still used it anyway! =D It was ... Read the complete review

Not only for hair removal, if you were a sunbaker back in the dark ages, when the world was flat and we had no idea of the extent of damage the sun did to our skin, you will appreciated silky mitts. My arms are getting the crepe paper syndrome, getting rather dry, and I have some odd skin problem, where it itches constantly, most likely stress ... Read the complete review

The search for the perfect hair removal method. Will it ever end? I've tried them all- waxing, shaving, depilatory creams, epilators...and now, silkymits. When I saw these at Superdrug for just 99p for a 3 pack, I had to give them a go. And now, I offer up my experiences to help all other women in their quest for silky smooth legs ... Hair removal is such a pain, especially when you have a fear of shavers! Luckily for me there are creams and sprays available that all offer a pain free hair removal experience. So after years of using Veet (originally known as Immac) spray and having nice, soft, hairless results I was distraught when I suddenly noticed my legs were really painful ... After reading a review of a similar product, I though the Silkymit would be a pretty good idea and considering they were only 96p I wasn't going to turn the opportunity down. I went on a shopping spree to Boots and collected a few items in the hope that something may work. The reason I chose this product was because it is still ... Read the complete review

OK, girls, let's be honest hair removal is not the most pleasant part of our beauty regime. It is either messy, painful, or both. I've tried every new product as it becomes available, or I thought I had. Shaving irritates my skin and leaves me with a rash. Cream is messy and takes too long and as for waxing it's both painful and messy. Epilators ... Read the complete review

i recently brought silkymit from superdrug as a friend recommended me it, i've use it on my legs and arms i found that though it removed the hair and made my skin feel smooth, silkymit made my skin fell itchy a few moments after i found that there is no need to apply pressure on the skin, it does take longer to remove the hair with ... AAAAAHHHH!!! i can't find my capital letters! ?Silkymit? made by Alida, is a small flat packet you might find in the depilitory section of your local chemist. ?For smooth hair-free legs!? they proclaim on the front of the packet. I bought these as I had to laugh at the picture on the front: a yellow haired, orange skinned lady in ... Read the complete review

I used silky mitt before I went away on holiday and I have to say, although they are strange at first, they give good results. A silky mitt is a kind of glove made out of what feels like sandpaper. It can be bought in Boots, Superdrug and other large chemists, in the hair removing section. The section with razors and Immac anyway. You ... Read the complete review

A few years ago I saw a hair removal mitt in a magazine (not the silkymit, a different one). I thought it looked a good idea - I usually shave or depilatory-cream my legs but wanted something I could do on dry legs, without the hassle of shaving lotion, etc. I never got round to buying one back then so when I saw "The Original Silkymit Hair ... I must admit that my opinion of Silky Mit contradicts those posted here so far! I frequently find that the simplest and cheapest solutions can be the best. I have tried ordinary razors, electric shavers and depilatory cream (too much a coward for waxing!). Razors always seemed to lead to nicks, blood-letting and very sore legs. Electric shavers ... Thats what my boyfriend calls it, and rightly so... I bought this a few years ago - Never again. On the packet it told me something along the lines of... for those in between days... as in when you can feel the hairs growing back after waxing, or as a quick alternative to shaving short regrowth. Admittedly, for a short period of ... Read the complete review
