In my house we are constantly running out of shower gel lately! Me, my Mum and Step-Dad are all clean freaks and there's always someone in the bathroom! Personally if it's not a 'Lush' bath bomb or melt I don't mind having showers, particularly at the moment because I don't have the time or patience for a bath. I'd rather be out partying and doing stuff I shouldn't!! So Mum went out the other day and stocked up on a load of shower products and this was one of them. I'd always fancied trying it but had never had opportunity, so excited, I really was! The Packaging.... 250ml clear plastic bottle with frosted flip top lid at the bottom. On the front ... Simple Refreshing Shower Gel. For those of you that don't know, I am very cautious about using chemicals around the house or even on myself. It is for that reason that I try to use natural products as often as I can. With personal hygiene however, that can be difficult, so I try to use brands which use little artificial ingredients. This is where the simple range of products come in. Whilst I have already reviewed simple soap, I am going to review it's shower gel today. Although I tend to use the soap most of the time, there are occasions when shower gel is more appropriate. This product is now quite widely available, and reasonably ... Read the complete review

The way we go through shower gel in our house I would never dream of spending £1.95 on a 250ml bottle of shower gel, but when this was on offer at 99p in Superdrug I thought I would give it a shot. After all, it would be worth paying for one that didn't leave me red and blotchy, I could always hide it from the shower gel monster that is my husband. The packaging focuses on the 'natural' selling point. The plastic (recyclable) bottle is clear with a snap lid. It has an anti-drip rubber stopper for those people like me who tend to drop or knock things over in the shower. The bottle states that Simple are 'experts in sensitive skin' and that the product ... We have to use this product, because other shower gels bring my daughter out in a horrible itchy rash, even the ones that are supposed to be for sensitive skin. Unfortunately it's darned expensive, in Asda currently it's £1.92 for 250ml, whereas Asda's own brand is only 62p. The only other irritating thing about this product is the bottle itself (although it seems to be a trend with the more expensive shower gels). For a product designed to use in the shower, it has no shower hook, which might not seem much of a problem, but it's one more thing to have loitering on the bath edges, or on the window sill. As for using the shower gel, well ... Read the complete review

As mentioned in previous reviews, I have very sensitive skin and find that if I use anything with a strong smell that it reacts to my body and brings me out in a rash. Therefore I was overjoyed to discover the Simple refreshing shower gel. Like the whole Simple range this has no perfume and no colour. I buy mine from Wilkinsons and it costs £1.89 for a medium sized bottle (sorry for not being more specific but I have found that it doesn't state how many ml's are in the bottle - how strange? I think it must be about 200ml though at a guess) The bottle is clear and the shower gel is also clear, I think this is so that you can see for yourself that ... Read the complete review
