Advantages: It's a nice colour....erm...has aloe vera and witch hazel in
Disadvantages: Doesn't really work, spray dispenser is ineffective
If you use an epilator (as I do) or wax, you probably have some ingrown hairs. They are such a pain to get rid of, and I have tried everything to try and prevent them. Exfoliating and moisturising just aren't enough to get rid of the little devils, and I have tried various products such as Tendskin, but never managed to get rid completely.
When I saw Ingrow Go, made by Nads, in my local Sainsburys I thought I would give it a go. At nearly £10 for 125ml it's not cheap, but I thought if it worked it would be worth the money.
The solution has a greenish tint and comes in a bottle with a spray dispenser. The instructions say to spray straight onto the skin, unless you are using on the face, in which case to spray onto a cotton wool ball first. The main ingredient is alcohol, followed by water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, salicylic acid, witch hazel extract, glycolic acid and allantoin.
The main problem I have with this product is the spray. You spray it on your legs and it seems to get into the air so you end up breathing the stuff in. It's mainly alcohol and pretty unpleasant to smell/taste! Whilst some of the liquid does go where it's intended, it's quite hard to get good coverage of your legs without inhaling too much of the stuff! Even when you try to spray it on a cotton ball, it seems to go everywhere. It would be much better without the spray, and of course you can take it off and just pour the stuff out of the bottle, but as the neck is quite wide you would probably use more than you needed.
Does it work? Well a little. It definitely reduced the ingrown hairs a bit compared to using nothing at all, but I wouldn't buy it again. It's not particularly easy to use and it's too much money to pay for something that's not 100% effective.
Summary: You'll probably inhale as much as actually goes on your legs!
