Advantages: smells nice and works well
Disadvantages: is quite a small pot.
It was a while before I actually bought a Soap & Glory product for myself. Usually I've ended up buying them as part of birthday or christmas presents but I actually had a few spare pounds so opted for one of the cheaper options.
It comes in a small baby pink pot and contains 50ml. When you first open it you can instantly smell the sweet perfumed scent. On the actual packaging it says that it contains peach seeds however I think it smells more like apricots.
The texture wasn't what I was expecting. Previous exfoliates which I have used are creamy and quite runny. This one is quite firm to the touch and feels very much like compressed damp sand. Meaning that you don't use too much at a time. It doesn't have a greasy feeling either despite it's obvious shine. It's a beige/cream coloured product and you can actually see the peach seeds and other elements which are used to make it.
This body polish is for those who have bumpy or rough skin. As it is in a pot it is easy to use as much or as little as you like. Applying to damp skin, you massage it in using circular motions. When it feels as though most of it has gone you need to rinse thoroughly just to get rid of any of the remaining grains of salt.
Don't expect for this to work miracles over night. It is a gradual progress and is highly unlikely to get rid of rough patches instantly. I found that it took about 1 week to smoothen the parts of my arms which needed it. Also I wouldn't stop using it just because you think your skin is nice and moisturised. It's best to keep applying it rather than stopping just as it's done its work. This is only a small pot so if you do have a lot of rough skin then it may not be worth the price.
The smell is quite strong so it does cling to you for quite some time. I don't think that is a bad thing though because it is not at all unpleasant. As I've said it's very much like sweet apricots with a high dosage of flowery scents.
It lasts for ages and you don't need to apply too much for it to do its stuff. It smells nice and will set you back £2.25 from Boots, I think it is a reasonable price considering how long it and lasts and how good a product is. Sometimes you do get products which are cheaper and work better but in this case I think you should opt for the Soap & Glory choice. As it states on the packaging don't use this on irritated skin as it will sting due to the salt which is used.
A worthy product for those with rough or bumpy skin!
