I think now is the time to confess that I am truly addicted to Soap and Glory products... I keep telling myself that I'm not addicted and that I don't buy that many of them, but I glanced at my dressing table earlier and was faced by an array of the pink, retro-style packaging which characterises this brand. And then, I went into the bathroom and found another three bottles of various Soap and Glory products... a few of them were Christmas presents but the rest of them I've bought because I just can't resist temptation.

So, my latest review of a product from the Soap and Glory range focuses on 'Clean on Me'. This is a creamy, clarifying shower gel with natural mandarin peel extract and built-in body lotion. It is designed to make your skin clean, smooth and sexy - sounds good, doesn't it?

This product comes in a large 500ml white plastic bottle with a pump at the top. The pump makes it very easy to squeeze out the amount of shower gel that you require. Like all Soap and Glory products, the bottle features the distinctive pink, white and cream graphics and a black and white fifties style photograph. As is usual for this brand, there is a lot of text on the bottle - the heading says 'Yes, you can have it all... soft, smooth, sexy skin whenever you want it, just CLEAN ON ME'. The photograph is of an apparently naked woman cheekily looking round a shower curtain - the package is definitely all very much what I have come to expect from this brand.

So, enough about the bottle, what is the product like? The shower gel is rich and creamy with a lovely texture. In terms of texture, it does remind me of some of the Dove products as it has the same element of creaminess and luxury, but I like this even more than I like those. The smell is absolutely gorgeous - it is very reminiscent of the scent of Soap and Glory's 'The Righteous Butter' (another one of my favourites) and has elements of strawberries, mandarin and vanilla, some of my all-time favourite smells. I am a real sucker for anything that smells of either orange or vanilla and, although I'm not quite so keen on the smell of strawberries, they blend in really well in this product.

It is very easy to create a luxurious lather with this product. You simply apply it to damp skin, rub it into a thick, luxurious lather and finish by rinsing thoroughly. I usually apply this product straight to my skin as it really doesn't take much effort to get the effect I want from it, but it also works well if you use a puffball to generate the lather (plus that would make it last longer - good if you're trying to save a bit of money).

The end results from using this are great. My skin definitely feels softer and smoother and I feel that this product is at least partially responsible for that. After my shower, I often follow up by using 'The Righteous Butter' as well which definitely increases the softening effect. Layering the two products works well too, as the fragrances are so similar.

This product costs £4.89 at Boots for a 500ml bottle which I think is really good value. It is also available in a 75ml bottle which would be perfect for taking on holiday.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. It provides a little bit of luxury for me first thing in the morning and I like it much more than some of the more expensive shower gels that I've used. I love the smell, I love the creamy texture of it and I love the way it makes my skin feel once I step out of the shower. An added bonus is that it seems like it will last for ages - in two weeks of using it every day I've barely made inroads into the contents of the bottle so I'm assuming it will last me about six months. Just hope I still love it this much by the time I finish the bottle!

Summary: Basically, I love this product... I would definitely recommend it!
