Advantages: Smells amazing, gives really soft skin, lasts a while
Disadvantages: A little bit expensive, maybe a bit abrasive
I first came across the 'Soap & Glory' range when my mom bought me a big set for my birthday, and I totally fell in love with them!
The signature sweet, musky smell is really obvious in this sugar scrub, and it just makes it so delicious!
The range can be pretty expensive (usually £6.36 at Boots, but currently £4.25!!), but a massive tub will last absolutely ages. It doesn't always stay fresh for a long time, but it could potentially last about 6 months. But I don't think its necessary to use it everyday. Obviously though the gorgeous smell does deteriorate and fade after a while.
Use when in the shower, on wet skin. I find not a lot is needed; as its a sugar scrub, the grains are won't get easily washed away and give a good scrubbing even when there are few of them.
The exfoliating result is great, as its supposed to get rid of dead skin, and I really think you can feel it working! (Maybe this makes it too abrasive?? I didn't think so.)
The result is totally smooth and really moisturised skin. It can feel a little bit oily, but I think this is just the left over bits from the scrub. I use it on the back of my thighs and my bottom to make them reeeaally soft and improve the circulation, and I think it does the job!
I'd say its a good idea to moisturise after showering too, since although there's the oily feeling after, on drier areas the big abrasive grains might be a bit harsh on the skin. Otherwise though, you're left with really clean and soft-feeling skin!
For me the best bit about the scrub is the smell- its irresistible! Its also quite fun to read the clever descriptions, names etc on the tub as its full of good puns.
Summary: Really yummy smelling and gives totally soft skin!
