Advantages: Really makes skin soft and smooth and smells amazing
Disadvantages: Gets stuck in razors
I love the Soap & Glory Range and this is one of my favourite products. I have to admit I am a bit lazy with exfoliation but the divine smell encourages me to do it more.
The body scrub is packaged in a 300ml pink round tub with the usual retro style label of the range. Although it says "Transform your scaly legs from reptilian to radiant" on the tub you can use this all over your body (except those obviously sensitive areas). I really like the packaging as it looks quirky and eye-catching.
To use this you are supposed to take a handful of the product and massage it in a circular motion onto damp skin before rinsing the grains away and patting dry. I have to say that I don't think a handful is really necessary. The grains seem to have enough movement in them that they can slide around with just a few finger tip fulls for each body part. The scrub is a dark beige colour and contains sea salt, grapeseed and almond oils to remove dead skin cells and moisturise. I have to say that after using this sometimes I have skipped moisturising because my skin feels so soft anyway. But if you do use the Soap & Glory moisturiser afterwards you do get the longer-lasting scent and feel doubly moisturised (although a little greasy for a while!).
The scent is absoloutely gorgeous, really soft, feminine and floral as complimented by the rest of the range. This was te first Soap & Glory product I bought and the smell made me fall in love with the rest!
I have very few complaints about this product but one thing I will say is that if you intend to shave your legs afterwards it does seem to clog up the razor even if you have washed all the grains away. Due to the waxy texture behind the grains of the scrub I am guessing that this is why. So shave your legs first or shave them on the days that you won't be scrubbing.
After one use I could feel the difference on my skin and continued use really kept my skin so silky and the little red bumps I had on my arms were gone surprisingly. I always thought they were just a part of me! I couldn't recommend this product more highly. If I use it regularly it seems to last a couple of months but less regularly and it lasts much longer. So if you are a one off exfoliator then you will get great value for money. It retails around £6-6.75 but often Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on Soap & Glory.
