Advantages: smells divine
Disadvantages: expensive
I am a sucker for any product from the Soap and Glory range. The sweet fragrance that comes from the products is enough to keep me coming back for more every time.
I received flirtigo body mist with a gift set I was given. When reading the product information I realised this was designed to be applied to damp skin and would assist in the moisturisation of your skin. I had since gotten into the habit of applying the Soap and Glory body butter after my showers, so I decided that I didn't need to apply two products to do similar things. Instead I decided to wear this as more of a body spray. I was sure it would do almost the same thing, if not moisturising my skin at the same time.
Flirtigo is packaged in a slightly opaque thin curvy bottle which is thinner at the top than the bottom. The top is finished off with a pump action spray nozzle to be used to apply the spray. The bottle holds 250ml and because it's filled with liquid which is very moreish the bottle won't last you very long if you use generously. You can however see the limits of the amount left in your bottle when held up to the light, which helps me to see when I may need to start thinking about replacing my bottle. So many body sprays I have had in the past have just emptied without me realising due to not being able to see of feel how much you have left.
Some lovely ingredients are used to add into the making of flirtigo including jasmine, peach, strawberry, mandarin, musk and bergamot. All these ingredients together make a very sweet feminine fragrance. If you're not a girly girl then I wouldn't recommend this product, and if you prefer more musky smells then this may not be for you either. Despite containing musk in the product, I can never get any hint of it from the bottle.
Applying this fragrance is very easy as you spray generously over your skin. I do find this doesn't soak into my skin very easily if I apply too much by accident, and have to give my arms a quick rub together after application. The spray doesn't leave any sticky residue however which is good, and all you are left with is the aroma on your skin.
I really like this fragrance because I can still smell it on myself hours after I have applied it. It doesn't seem to make my skin any softer after use, although it complements the other products in the range and added all together I 'm sure they do their own bit at making my skin feel wonderful.
This body spray is more expensive than many others you can buy. At £5.87 for 250ml you aren't going to get a lot of value for money out of this product which is a shame, but for me it's worth the treat to walk around and smell this lovely fragrance all day when I am wearing it.
If you've never tried it but like the Soap and Glory range then I would recommend trying this.
Summary: a lovely smelling body spray

- 25/05/09 I always belived that applying moisturiser to damp skin 'locked in the moisture' but read recently that it simply dilutes the product (since the moisture in our skin is made up of oils, not water). So the way you use this spray is probably more effective than if you applied it to damp skin.
Good review - I must try this. x |
