Advantages: Wonderfully invigorating for the skin and a pleasure to use

Disadvantages: None for me

I've always adored beautiful toiletries as I find it so therapeutic to be able to pamper myself with lots of different gorgeous fragranced products. One that was purchased for me last year belongs to the Soap and Glory range and is named Pulp Friction Foamy Fruit Body Scrub. My initial introduction to this quirky brand was several years ago with their Hand Food followed by their Hair Supply and both products have now become firm favourites in my beauty regime. Unfortunately, I have recently experienced a few disappointments with some of their products and have since looked on the brand rather negatively. However, as I absolutely adore Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub I was intrigued to discover how Pulp Friction would compare and this review discusses my experience with using it.

We are provided with 250ml of scrub in a sturdy plastic tube and if you are familiar with this fun-loving brand you will be aware of their bright pink packaging, which often can be a little too cluttered for my liking. The tube comfortably sits on its flip top lid enabling the product to be easily and conveniently dispensed. I am a huge fan of face and body scrubs and whilst I use a net body polisher every time I bath or shower I also favour using scrub products to remove any dry and loose skin.

The scrub is of a good consistency and can be described as a thick gel with tiny exfoliating particles, which according to the packaging are pumice. I favour pumice and walnut shells in the ingredients of body scrubs as I find them extremely effective without being harsh on the skin. I will only use body scrubs a few times per week as through experience I have discovered that over use can cause me to suffer with adverse affects where my skin will become a little sore and red. The gel is easily spread over my dampened skin where I can feel the tiny fragments of pumice as I gently rub them all over my body. As the name of this product would suggest, the scrub foams and I quite like this aspect despite it not really being beneficial to the product itself.

I love the sensation the body scrub offers when used on a regular basis as it is very invigorating and enables my body to display a natural and healthy looking glow. I tend to use scrubs in the shower as opposed to the bath as otherwise I find myself sitting on tiny particles, which can be rather uncomfortable in the nether region! Some brands of scrub can leave my skin feeling slightly dry and irritated, but this was a real pleasure to use and left my skin feeling silky soft and smooth as well as being moisturised.

If you are familiar with Soap and Glory's Hand Food and Hair Supply you will be aware of their gorgeous unique aroma. I found the combination of ingredients contained within Pulp Friction rather odd with fig powder, peppermint oil, lemonade tree liquid, orange waterjuice, vitamin balls together with their new Fruitgo fragrance. However, the aroma is very favourable and whilst it significantly differs from the original signature Soap and Glory fragrance this is a real winner with me, particularly as it delicately lingers on the skin after being effortlessly rinsed away with no traces of stickiness.

I can highly recommend Soap and Glory Pulp Friction Foamy Fruit Body Scrub and you can purchase this gorgeous product for £8 for a 250 ml tube, which can be recycled once empty.

I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading.
