... something which gives it a cool, retro look. The scrub contains Kukui oil, mango butter and vitamin E, brown sugar, white sugar and apricot kernel oil. I've heard of most of those, but I must admit Kukui oil was a new one on me. Doing a quick internet search however, tells me that it comes from the Hawaiian Kukui nut and is great for relieving dry, chapped skin. Now most scrubs I've used have been like a liquid or gel with grains in it. This one however was like grains with a bit of liquid added! When you squeeze it out ...more

Premium Review Soap & Glory Scrub Actually: I love this scrub, actually (569 words)
by - written on 21/03/09 (Very useful, 126 readings)
Rating:

I bought this scrub just before Christmas when I went out and had a little spree, buying myself a few pressies, I suppose! Due to the sheer amount of this type of product I have though, I've only had a chance to use it in the past three weeks or so! I'd already used one scrub from the Soap and Glory range, which was Flake Away. I thought it was OK, but it was like a thick butter with grains in it, and I remember it being difficult to clean out of the bath, and although it was otherwise OK, overall I wasn't too taken with it. As this one came in a tube I guessed that it wouldn't have such a thick texture, and so was more inclined to give it a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review One Heck of a Scrub, Actually! Body Scrub (506 words)
by - written on 24/02/09 (Very useful, 90 readings)
Rating:

I love the Soap & Glory range and for Christmas I'd asked my boyfriend to get me the shower gel in the range and I hinted that they had an offer for 3 for 2 on and I could do with a new body scrub, and so therefore I'd get another product too! He got me the body scrub "scrub actually." I didn't realise there was more than one body scrub in the range until I tried this and noticed it had a different smell from the previous one I had used. This scrub comes in a 200ml tube with the usual Soap & Glory black and white picture surrounded in pink, it is clear so you can see how much product you have left. It states on it "Sure, it's loaded ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Soap & Glory Scrub Actually: Scrub up! (460 words)
by - written on 20/02/09 (Very useful, 59 readings)
Rating:

I'm a big fan of body scrubs and Soap and Glory products, and I've tried quite a few in their range, including the body polish. I didn't expect Scrub Actually to be any different, in fact I did wonder why I was bothering since I have so many scurbs already! But it was part of 3 for 2, so I couldn't resist... The version I have is a 200ml squeezy bottle that looks like the picture above. The lid is on the bottom which earns points in my book, but there's nothing to hang it up with which makes it awkward for me as my shower is very small. It's described as 'An absolute smash of a body buffer, with smoothing brown sugar, white sugar and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Brighter smoother skin! (195 words)
by - written on 11/02/09 (Useful, 35 readings)
Rating:

This product was part of a present given to me at Christmas and was not something which I had thought about buying myself. I do use an exfoliator on my legs before applying fake tan but this is usually just a basic brand. The scrub is pink and mainly translucent apart from the actually "scrubby" bits which are a slightly lighter pink. There isn't particularly much of a smell to it. I used the scrub in the shower and as instructed, used it all over my body, concentrating more on the rougher areas. You don't need to use too much of it as it goes quite a long way and the exfoliating particles are quite big. After using this ...  Read the complete review
