Advantages: Good sized scrubby bits, smell

Disadvantages: Some may not like the smell

I love the Soap & Glory range and for Christmas I'd asked my boyfriend to get me the shower gel in the range and I hinted that they had an offer for 3 for 2 on and I could do with a new body scrub, and so therefore I'd get another product too! He got me the body scrub "scrub actually." I didn't realise there was more than one body scrub in the range until I tried this and noticed it had a different smell from the previous one I had used.

This scrub comes in a 200ml tube with the usual Soap & Glory black and white picture surrounded in pink, it is clear so you can see how much product you have left. It states on it "Sure, it's loaded with kukui oil, mango butter and vitamin E, but underneath it all it's one heck of a Scrub, Actually. An absolute smash of a body buffer, with soothing brown sugar, white sugar and natural apricot kernel oil." One of the things I love about the range is the quirky names and statements on them, like the warning "avoid getting scrub in your eyes. If you do, rinse immediately with clean water and perhaps consider wearing safety goggles when you shower" this really tickles me!

The scrub inside the tube is bright pink and when you open the tube it smells really sickly and sweet like bubblegum but it is still a nice smell though it isn't the usual smell I associate with the pink Soap & Glory products. The gel comes out thickly and has a really good scrub in it, by this I mean it's not a fine scrub, like sand particles, but the scrubby bits are large sugar particles so I feel like it is really working over my skin. Because it is quite thick though I do find I need to use a fair amount to do my whole body so it won't last as long as some scrubs. The scrub rinses off easily and leaves a nice light scent on my skin. My skin doesn't feel tight or dry after using and you could probably get away with not moisturising afterwards but I always like to after using body scrub, and I've got the Soap & Glory body moisturiser to match anyway so I may as well!

You can buy the Soap & Glory range in Boots and this scrub is currently £6.36 which I feel is pretty fair value for a great working and smelling scrub although it won't last ages, but the 3 for 2 offer is still on so you can get other bits too.

If you like this range I'm sure you'll like this scrub this too and I can't find anything to fault personally but if you're not a big fan of really sweet smelling products you may not like the scent of this scrub. Go on, treat yourself to one heck of a scrub, actually.

Summary: Excellent body scrub by a fab range
