Advantages: Soft, smooth skin, smells great, luxurious

Disadvantages: none

I bought this scrub just before Christmas when I went out and had a little spree, buying myself a few pressies, I suppose! Due to the sheer amount of this type of product I have though, I've only had a chance to use it in the past three weeks or so!

I'd already used one scrub from the Soap and Glory range, which was Flake Away. I thought it was OK, but it was like a thick butter with grains in it, and I remember it being difficult to clean out of the bath, and although it was otherwise OK, overall I wasn't too taken with it. As this one came in a tube I guessed that it wouldn't have such a thick texture, and so was more inclined to give it a try.

The tube is clear with pink and grey writing and a 50's style photograph, as many of the Soap and Glory products feature, something which gives it a cool, retro look.

The scrub contains Kukui oil, mango butter and vitamin E, brown sugar, white sugar and apricot kernel oil. I've heard of most of those, but I must admit Kukui oil was a new one on me. Doing a quick internet search however, tells me that it comes from the Hawaiian Kukui nut and is great for relieving dry, chapped skin.

Now most scrubs I've used have been like a liquid or gel with grains in it. This one however was like grains with a bit of liquid added! When you squeeze it out of the tube, it is a beautiful pink colour and looks amazing - it actually looks like pink sugar!

It smells great too. In fact so far I think every Soap and Glory product I've used has smelled amazing, and this is no exception. It has a very light, fruity smell to it, but is also very feminine. I can definitely smell the apricot in there, but it also reminds me of strawberries a little bit. It's quite sweet, but not in a sickly way.

The texture of this scrub is very unusual. As you massage it into wet skin, the sugar granules, eventually seem to dissolve, leaving just the pink bit of the scrub, which is sort of like rubbing an oil into your skin. Saying that, it's not greasy, and is quite pleasant to use. Sometimes the grains can feel a little bit harsh against the skin, and can leave it a little red, but the simple solution is just to not rub so hard.

Once you rinse this away it leaves the skin feeling incredibly smooth, and because of that slight oiliness you get, it also feels lovely and moisturised. Any patches of dry, flaky skin which can appear on areas such as the knees are gone and you're left with baby soft skin.

A 200ml tube of this scrub costs £6.36 from Boots. This is not the cheapest on the market, but it's certainly not the most expensive either, and it smells so good, feels so luxurious and leaves my skin feeling so lovely that I think this is a reasonable enough price to pay.

Overall, I am very pleased with this scrub and will definitely buy it again. It's one of the nicest I've used and I'd certainly recommend it.

Summary: It's amazing, actually
